Bees hatch into little wiggly creatures
called larva.
It takes just 3 weeks for a bee to grow
full size.

honey.
3. Chapter 1
Next to her honey pot, the queen
makes a ball of pollen and lays her
eggs on it.
The queen sits on her eggs to keep
them warm.
She can not leave them to feed
outside, so she drinks from her honey
pot.
After five days, the eggs hatch into
white grubs.
4. Chapter 2
The old queen, her workers and the
drones die.
The new queens burrow underground to
sleep all winter.
they will wake the following spring.
Some of the bees are leaving there hive in
a swarm.
The queen goes with them.
