Future Group, Everonn to offer training in retail •50-50 joint venture between Future Human Development and Everonn Skill Development will train young people for various positions required in organized retail. •Short-term and long-term programmes will be offered, aimed at: oSchool leaving youngsters. oFresh graduates.

Contd… •Training programmes will focus on: oVisual merchandising oSupply chain management oShort courses: warehousing, housekeeping, home furnishing and beauty & wellness. •Future Group will provide its domain knowledge in retail and course methodology. •Everonn Education will manage content and provide reach through VSAT connectivity across its centres.

Labour min sees red over tax demands on health cover •A service tax demand on Employees’ State Insurance Corporation may bring Labour ministry and Finance ministry on collision course. •ESIC has an annual income of aroud Rs. 4500 crore with 5.5 crore beneficiaries. •ESIC is expected to hike administrative costs paid by employers to factor in service tax.

Haryana increases DA for family pensioners to 45% •Haryana government has increased dearness allowance for its pensioners and family pensioners from 35% to 45%. •Government would spend Rs. 12 crore per month on increased DA. •To provide DA for the period from July 2010 to February 2011, an additional amount of Rs. 96 crore would be incurred.

TN farm dept to hire staff for pvt agro firms •Tamil Nadu farm department has drawn up a list of 10,000 vacancies in companies that manufacture and market farm implements, fertilizers and seed. •Government will provide skills to the jobless with a stipend of Rs. 6000 per month and make sure they are employed. •Coimbatore-based Suguna Group has requested for 1500 workers this year and another 1500 employees in next financial year.
