RDA Resources Online
This list is by no means exhaustive; it is meant to provide RDA material that is especially recent and/or
useful for training purposes, and material that will provide a good introduction to RDA cataloging.
Free Resources
RDA Toolkit http://www.rdatoolkit.org/
While the actual RDA instructions are for-a-fee, this site provides open access to Teaching and Training
material (some, like the “Toolkit Essentials” are very recent; some are more historical). Other tabs that
might be useful are “Blog” “News” and “RDA Background” (the latter of which contains relationship
diagrams illustrating RDA concepts). MARC record examples are in a pdf document (dated April 2013)

Because these are LC’s internal training manuals, they would be of most use to a cataloging manager for
self-study and/or repackaging.
