My Worldview
My Worldview Throughout this course I have learned of many different worldviews. Through
learning of these different worldviews, I have learned that I have a strong Christian worldview. I do
understand that it is very easy to let the other worldviews influence your own worldview. There are
many elements of my worldview that ensure me that I do have a Christian worldview. These
elements are I believe that the Bible is God's word, I believe that God is our creator, I believe we are
not perfect beings, and I believe we are saved though Jesus Christ. The first element of my
worldview is, I believe the Bible is God's Word. The Bible was written through the inspiration of
God and the life and teachings of Jesus; "In the beginning was the...show more content...
We owe our lives to God, and they are not our own. Therefore, we should live the way he
commands us to. Thirdly, I do believe we are not perfect beings, and susceptible to temptation and
sin; "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, KJV). God made us in
his image; "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them." (Genesis 1:27, KJV), and he made us perfect and blessed us; "And God
blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and
have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living
thing that moves on the earth."" (Genesis 1:28, KJV). Then we fell from grace; "And unto Adam
he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which
I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow
shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;" (Genesis 3:17, KJV). Due to this fall from grace we
became imperfect beings and sinners. Lastly, due to our fall from grace we needed a savior. God
sent his only begotten son to be the sacrifice for our sins so that we could be saved and be in the
grace and presence of God again one day; "For God so loved the world,

Worldview is how you view the world around you and your place in it. Obviously a worldview is
shaped and expanded over the course of a lifetime by many different influences. It is important to
really examine your worldview and support it using many viewpoints. This paper will be made up
of three parts all incorporating my worldview. In the first part I will explain my worldview in
detail. In the second part I will be comparing my worldview to another. Finally, in the third part I
will use my worldview to support my stance on an ethical dilemma of abortion.
In this first part of this paper I will be explaining my worldview. There are three influences I will
focus on to give an in depth look at how I came to my...show more content...
Another part of my religion that affects my worldview is the fact we have forgiveness through God.
He sent is one and only son to Earth to die in order to give us salvation through him. That gives
me hope for our world, the fact that we have a choice to follow him and refrain from sin. Another
belief from my religion that influences my worldview is that there is evil in the world.
Especially in today's times, it is easy to see how the world is becoming filled with more and more
evil. I think God allows evil in the world to keep humanity in check to some point. In other words,
God has the need to test his followers. Those tests most often come in the form of different evils.
The tests are, in other words, a way to test our self– will. I think this is a huge part of Christianity
and in turn my worldview. I feel like showing your self–will is a daily challenge and in it can be
tested in many different ways or scenarios. I think that God is able to take evil away but somehow
it is necessary to keep in the world. I honestly can't think of a reason for keeping evil in the world
but I have to keep faith that God does have a purpose for it. This, ties in to a part of my worldview,
in that there is a purpose for everything.
The second influence to my worldview is family. Many people in today's times base their life's
purpose on their desires. For me, my life's purpose is based on those around me. "Do not merely

My Thoughts About Worldviews Essay
A worldview, in my opinion, is the way you look at the world and how you see God; a worldview is
a set of beliefs that directs the way you act. To determine your worldview, you must ask yourself a
few questions. Some of these questions include: Who is God? Where did I come from? Why do I
exist? What is my purpose in life? Answers in Genesis defines a worldview as "the overall
perspective from which one sees and interprets the world. A worldview is a collection of beliefs
about life and the universe held by an individual or a group."[1] To make this definition easier to
understand, I'll use an analogy. A worldview is like a pair of glasses. If you get the right
prescription, you'll be able to see really clearly. If you get the wrong...show more content...
They believe that Allah is god and that Muhammad is his messenger. They do not think Allah is a
knowable god and they do not believe in the Trinity. They do not believe in heaven but they believe
in a paradise and to go there you must do a certain amount of good deeds. Also, Muslims must
complete some tasks, often called pillars. These pillars include: confession, prayer, fasting,
almsgiving, pilgrimage, and in some cases, jihad. Like Christians, Muslims have a book of scripture,
called the Qur'an, written by Muhammad. Islam philosophy also believes in the supernatural because
of Allah. Muslim philosophers, and some Christian philosophers, use the Kalam Cosmological
Argument for the existence of God. Although Muslims do believe in miracles, Muhammad never
performed any. This created some doubts but they still had faith in Muhammad. Some great Islamic
philosophers are Ahmad and Yusif Ali Hammuda Abdalat. Like Christians, Muslims believe in moral
absolutes. However, these absolutes come from Muhammad and the Qur'an (or Hadith), rather than
Allah, because Muslims believe that Allah cannot be known. To help Muslims follow moral
obligations, they follow the Five Pillars. Unlike Christians, Muslims are motivated to do good
because of their fear of judgement. Another similarity with Christians and Muslims is the belief that
a god created the earth with order, design, and purpose. Sometimes, there can be

Define my worldview. First I will explain what is a worldview. A worldview is known as a
framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. Worldview is basic on
ideology, philosophy, theology, movement, or religion that provides an overreaching approach to
understanding God, the world and man's relations to God and the world. My worldview I'm a
Christianity. According to James N Anderson 2014 What's your worldview? "Christianity is the
largest religion in the world today, Claiming around one–third of the world population. Christians
consider to be not merely a great prophet and spiritual teacher, but the divine Son of God and the
savior of the world. I'm a Christian I believe in God. Being a Christian it has cause me to read the
Bible more as I have grown older. I have find myself debating, learning and trying to understand the
Christian faith. Being a Christian you learn different ways on interpreting the Bible. My worldview
is Biblical I believe the Bible is entirely true. I believe it a foundation of everything we say or do. I
believe in God I believe if I do my best by God and go to church God will bless me. In Number

you; the Lord turn his face toward you and peace." I have taken been a Christian more serious

Yes, I can live my worldview out in the world. My worldview is not complicated, but very basic.
It's is basically believing that every person is worthy of honor and respect. Any person possess
those beliefs, no one will be disrespected and dishonored. Every person has the chance to be heard.
With my worldview, good outcomes will fall into place without trying very hard. With that
worldview, I find that it very easy to get along with others. Everyone is worthy of honor and
respect. People with other worldview see, hear, and feel respected and honored, then love takes
place. I show kindness and give without any expectation in return. My worldview, is to be open to

My Worldview Reaction Essay Before taking this class, I never knew what a worldview was. But
I can see how one's worldview is developed and it helps us to understand how someone perceives
the world. Worldview is such an interesting concept because of how unique worldview is, no one
has the same worldview, because everyone has different experiences and perceives the world in a
different way. I will be explaining my worldview, which will be consisted of seven subcategories
that will help me understand my worldview better. The first subcategory of my worldview, I will be
discussing is social, economic, and political climate.
Social, Economic, and Political Climate I have always lived in the same place my whole life, little
town called Oconto Falls. This tiny town of about 2,000 people is located a half an hour north of
Green Bay. I was raised in the same small brick house for my entire life outside of Oconto Falls,
pretty much I live in the middle of nowhere, all you see are trees and more trees. The climate of my
home was we economically are lower middle class, we always had enough money to get us by. My
mother owned her own business, while my dad brought in most of the household, income. Growing
up and observing the struggles my parents went through facing money made me realize I did not
want to face those same problems. My mother has a bachelor degree and my father just has a high
school diploma, but they always raised us to complete a higher education. So when I graduated

Worldview Essay Today's society consists of many worldviews. Most people tend to pull beliefs
from different religions, but often stick to one main worldview. A worldview to me is the gathering
of beliefs that shape what we do on a daily basis and forms our overall view on life. When I look at
my beliefs critically, I am able to see my worldview and see how it compares to different
worldviews, but also how it compares mainly to the Christian Worldview. My view ofGod is very
similar to the non–denomination Christian Worldview. I believe that God is an omnipotent Trinity of
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that oversees the entire universe. I believe that God created everything
in his image, including man. Because He rules over...show more content...
If not, they are condemned to hell. The nature of the universe is something that very few
worldviews can agree on. Many peoples' worldviews are mainly concerned with materialistic
things because there is no supernatural being; it is merely an arrangement of particles. However,
I believe that the universe is an illusion (Cosgrove, 2006, p. 30). To me, it is an illusion that is
able to leave us to a life and afterlife filled with God. What makes the difference is what a person
truly believes in at the end. Whether someone believes in a materialistic universe or the illusion of
the universe that leads to a God–filled life decides how he or she lives his or her life. Personally, I
believe all that matters in the end is God and my faith in Him. The question of how I know what I
know is a question that is one of the most difficult I have encountered. Much of what I know is
based on logic and thinking. This is where I may veer off of the Christian Worldview slightly. I
believe that God has given humans the ability to reason and think logically, and I use that as much
as possible. I think that He intended for us to use our minds to find what we believe to be true,
hoping that people would seek God when seeing that He is the only real truth. Cosgrove (2006)
makes a great comment on secular humanism and a person's ability to find value, and in

The Worldview And Its Impact On My Worldview
Over the years my worldview has evolved from as a by product of cultural influence, to one
steeped in my belief of God. However, until I got married 4 years ago, I had never actively
worked on developing my Christian theistic worldview. Brown, Phillips and Stonestreet (2008)
described a persons' worldview as the framework that guides our beliefs and viewpoints (p. 21).
With this in mind, I have established 3 main tenants of my worldview, God is, the universe was and
morality will be. These are the foundations for the way I live, move and express my being in this
world.
My worldview is informed by way of epistemology. Epistemology suggest the source of all
knowledge is God. Knowledge can be acquired through reading and studying the bible....show more

He is holy, unchanging, all powerful, all knowing, and present everywhere.
As stated by Groothuis (2011) "But Christianity, on the contrary, depicted God as a rational,
responsive, dependable, and omnipotent being and the universe as his personal creation, thus
having a rational, lawful, stable structure, awaiting human comprehension" ( p. 102). All that is in
the universe, except for God Himself, is God's creation. Therefore, my Christian worldview
begins with the existence of a God who is the personal and creator of everything we survey.
Knowing that God is the cause for creation, brings perspective to my life. It establishes the place
of a great being that took time, out of time and space to create the world in which I exist. A world
meticulously designed to work as one connected string. How can a world be fine–tuned with
irreducible complexity, without a designer?
My theistic worldview defines God as the uncaused creator, concerned with all of creation. His
concerns include bringing man back into relationship with Himself by way of His Son Jesus
Christ. Christ is part of the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is
the anointed son of God, purposed to restore humanity from its deviation of God' character and
nature. Jesus was born of a virgin birth; His Christendom was from the womb and His anointing
allowed him to demonstrate power over nature. Through Him, the ultimate result of pain and
suffering, which is

My personal worldview explains the way I view and live life through the assumptions and beliefs
I hold in response to the world around me. I believe I was created for a specific reason and
purpose. What do I believe to be true? I believe that God exists and that he is the creator of
everything that exists. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God, John 1:1" (NIV). This is biblical proof that God exists. The verse that explains that
God has always existed is, "Revelation 22:13, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the
Last, the Beginning and the End" (NIV). God has been alive forever, since before my start and
before the start of everything I know. God is the originator of creation itself....show more content...
I must find my calling if I am to truly live my life to the fullest and to live out God's plan for my
life. God is the only one who can help me find my purpose. He has had a plan for my life long
before I was even born and that God has a purpose for me that no one else could fulfill. "For I know
the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11" (NIV). This means that no matter what I do as long
as I am in accordance with God's will, everything will turn out for the best in the end. God has
promised to give me hope and a future and to bless my life. "For we are God's handiwork, created in
Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do, Ephesians 2:10" (NIV).
With this knowledge I know that God has created me exactly the way I should be and that he has
given me talents and skills enough to do all he asks of me to do. I was created in God's image,
created with God's character of love, mercy, grace and righteousness. According to
AllAboutWorldviews.com, Christians believe "God has revealed Himself to people in a general way
through creation and in a special (personal) way evidenced by His divine words and acts contained
in the Bible and especially in the person of Jesus Christ" (2002, p.1). Through the Bible I can see
specific evidence of what God's character looks like,

In the same way that the name presents, a worldview is understood to be the general view of the
world. In this light, it does not imply to the physical perception and understanding of the world but
instead the knowledge of the world from a philosophical perspective. However, this is not limited to
the philosophy of the world alone, but it also involves all that encompasses the views that we have
on everything in the world as well as those that are considered to be very important to us (Naugle,
2012).
Therefore, it is important to be established that a worldview that an individual has entails the most
fundamental assumptions as well as beliefs that the individual has about the universe that he or she

share the same worldview with my community of particular aspect that I consider similar to how I
view my world (Sire, 2014).
In the case of Canada as a whole, the similarity of my worldview and that of Canada has a greater
difference. This is because of the extended nature of the Canadian society and the increased level
of diversity in the nation. However, as part of the Canadian society, I share a certain worldview
with Canadian society because the society also has a role in my socialization process.

The worldview that I have helps me to adopt an open–minded worldview where I can read, evaluate
as well as question the validity of an article or information that I encounter. The capacity to question
as well as compare the information that I read to establish its reality and its weight is based on the
open–minded worldview that I have. This is in the sense that reality is relative and reality is
pegged on an individual`s perception of the world and what the world is made of and is all about

that would help me to understand this article. This is because I will not have a

Our worldview is essentially how we see the world around us, it is influenced by our experiences,
how and where we were raised, our religion, the individuals who we surround ourselves with and
our culture. My worldview has been affected by growing up in Ontario, being a Christian and being
Christian education all my life, and having unique experiences. All of this has affected how I view
the world around me and how I view education, curriculum, teachers and students. Based on my
results from Education Philosophy Inventory I am a progressivist, because this was my highest score
compared to the other philosophies. The progressivist believes that the student's interests, goals and
needs are important. They also believe that learners should be active rather than passive. One thing
that progressivist believe that I disagree with is that students can make the future better than the past
because society is continually changing. I think that people can make a difference in the world, but
there will always be sin. It will be just as sinful as it was in the past as it will be in the future.
Reconstructionism and existentialism tied for my second highest score. Reconstructionisms have
similar beliefs to progressivists as they think that schools should take the lead to reconstruct society. I
think that I fell into this category because school are teaching the future workers of society, teacher

or feel close to him. I have always believed in God and Jesus Christ as our savior, but did not
actively seek a closer relationship with him. I feel that much of that changed when I accepted my
current job in a church based preschool program. After taking the position in the preschool, I was

and my son and I started attending Church every Sunday. In the time since, my husband, myself,
and our children have all joined the Church, been baptized, and become very active in our

and everyday, and I now use prayer to seek his guidance for our lives. In the past seven weeks we

meant, I was just following along. As I hit my teen years and hit rocky roads I started to question
what kind of God would allow such awful things to happen. I started to take on an Atheist world
views and flip flopped back and forth through my twenties. I spent years dealing will self–esteem
issues and depression, I was unable to cope with even the smallest things and I was getting worse. I

My worldview defines how I make decisions and how I filter the events that I encounter in my life.
It is a good idea to take stock in what you believe and why you believe it occasionally. My
worldview uses Christian principles to understand how I need to act in the world around me. I
have had many people that have helped shape my worldview, most especially my parents Mary and
Robert, and my maternal grandmother Hazel. I believe that the Bible's depiction of creation is a
better fit for what I experience in the world that sciences evolutionary model. As Paul reminds us in
Romans 1:20, God created the world and everything in it. When I look around the physical world, I
have no doubt that I am seeing what God created. The universe, earth, animals, and man are too
perfectly formed not to have been a planned creation. The more I learn about science and how
intricate the cells of the bodies work, the more I know that God created all of this. In Genesis 1:1
it says that God spoke and It was. This is the foundation for all meaning. Creation, purpose, design,
and life are all created by God and are consistent with science, history, and my own personal
experiences. God is absolute and unchanging. God loves good but hates evil. In the Bible, we learn
the difference between good and evil. When we study the Bible, we learn very early on that man is
sinful, but we can redeem ourselves by being followers of Christ. Today we still struggle with the
battle between doing what

My Identity, Status And My Worldview

decode my issues in my life. As I continue to evolve, my identity, status and my worldview shape me.
My family and my faith status makes my life worthwhile. It's the love and relationship that keeps
me bounded together with my family. Without a family I am absolutely nothing because they
have helped me through hard times and supported me. As being the oldest child of the family I
was always appreciated and praised for doing remarkable things in my daily life. In grade 8, I had

and encouraged me to write the exam on the bases of the things I have learned the entire year.
Their brace made me successful and I got straight A's on the exams. Family status is as important
in life as eating food on regular bases. My family is always ready to support and sacrifice their

A worldview is a personal insight about the reality and meaning of life. We all see ourselves

as he or she experiences new events and interacts with the world that surrounds them. A worldview

Soon after creation humankind fell into sin. Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God." Sin is the universal condition of the human race. All people are born
with a sinful nature. Sin has many serious consequences for humankind. Sin alienates humankind
from God and keeps us from having a relationship with our Creator. Sin provides a sickness that
keeps us from becoming the person we should be. People want to live good lives but are forced
by sin to fall short. The ultimate consequence of sin can be found in Romans 6:23, "For the wages
of sin is death." Having an understanding of the extent and effect of sin is key to developing a
worldview. I know I cannot escape the confines of sin. It is my nature as a human being to sin. In
his divine wisdom, God also knew that his creation could not keep the original covenant of
obedience so he would have to set a new covenant with creation. Throughout the Old Testament I can
see how humanity is drawn forward from the covenant of creation to the events concerning Jesus
Christ. God connects with humankind through covenants which outline the plan of God. The
Abrahamic covenant is the first covenant to show God's unconditional love toward humankind. The
Mosaic covenant is a conditional covenant that outlines the laws that we must live our lives by. The

My worldview begins from with a biblical view. What does it mean to be human? Genesis 1:27 says,
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female
created he them" (KJV). Because we were made in the image of God, it is in his Word that we will
find the answer to what it means to be human. Jesus Christ is the source of our true identity and
nature. Romans 8:29 speaks of "being conformed to the image of his Son." Our purpose originally
was to love and fellowship with God. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, the sin factor
entered the equation and made humanity prone to sin. When Christ came to earth and died for
our sins, he created the opportunity to be redeemed from those sins. It is only through his grace
that we are able to be reconciled with him. If we drift in life, our human sin nature causes us to
drift away from God. Therefore, we must purpose in our hearts and in our actions to live a life
free of sin and in relationship with the Almighty. When a person lives a repentant life and in daily
relationship with the Almighty, it brings an individual back to his or her original purpose, to love
and fellowship with God. This, then, opens the door to the promises and the miraculous of the
Word of God. For instance, Matthew 11:28 promises that if you simply come to Christ, he will give
you rest. Philippians 4:19 promises that God will meet all of your needs. 1 Peter 2:24 mentions a
supernatural healing that can take place because

to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the Constitution and the
community I serve.
Part 2: Compare your worldview to another one not actually covered by this course in a previous
assignment. Demonstrate its superiority.
The worldview that I chose to write about is Nihilism. If one has a worldview of Nihilism they
believe in nothing. Nihilism comes from the Latin word nihil, which means nothing. The nihilistic
worldview all amounts to nothing and that the universe is a closed system. If we have a closed
system, right and wrong is subjective, and there is no purpose or goal for us being here, then that
means, logically, that there is no such thing as right or wrong or meaning or purpose.
Nihilism as a belief structure has gained recognition in recent years as the ineffectiveness of a
system in society has gone skewed. We went from having an insufficient amount of morals in our
lives, to having lives that are

Sociology: My Worldview
Since beginning this course in sociology, my worldview has undeniably changed. Sociology is a
subject matter that is implemented into our every day lives. There is no way of escaping social
settings within our society. Whether it is in large groups or small groups it is always a beneficial
standpoint to have. It allows one to look at these situations with more objectivity, rather than always
being passive towards the world's effects. This course has shown me that we shouldn't always just
rely on word of mouth and assumptions, but rather scientific based research. One can use this
research in discovering whether or not what people around them are discussing is factual information
or a fallacy. Furthermore, the research studied and learned throughout

My Worldview Essay

  • 1. My Worldview My Worldview Throughout this course I have learned of many different worldviews. Through learning of these different worldviews, I have learned that I have a strong Christian worldview. I do understand that it is very easy to let the other worldviews influence your own worldview. There are many elements of my worldview that ensure me that I do have a Christian worldview. These elements are I believe that the Bible is God's word, I believe that God is our creator, I believe we are not perfect beings, and I believe we are saved though Jesus Christ. The first element of my worldview is, I believe the Bible is God's Word. The Bible was written through the inspiration of God and the life and teachings of Jesus; "In the beginning was the...show more content... We owe our lives to God, and they are not our own. Therefore, we should live the way he commands us to. Thirdly, I do believe we are not perfect beings, and susceptible to temptation and sin; "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, KJV). God made us in his image; "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27, KJV), and he made us perfect and blessed us; "And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."" (Genesis 1:28, KJV). Then we fell from grace; "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;" (Genesis 3:17, KJV). Due to this fall from grace we became imperfect beings and sinners. Lastly, due to our fall from grace we needed a savior. God sent his only begotten son to be the sacrifice for our sins so that we could be saved and be in the grace and presence of God again one day; "For God so loved the world, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Worldview Final Paper Worldview is how you view the world around you and your place in it. Obviously a worldview is shaped and expanded over the course of a lifetime by many different influences. It is important to really examine your worldview and support it using many viewpoints. This paper will be made up of three parts all incorporating my worldview. In the first part I will explain my worldview in detail. In the second part I will be comparing my worldview to another. Finally, in the third part I will use my worldview to support my stance on an ethical dilemma of abortion. In this first part of this paper I will be explaining my worldview. There are three influences I will focus on to give an in depth look at how I came to my...show more content... Another part of my religion that affects my worldview is the fact we have forgiveness through God. He sent is one and only son to Earth to die in order to give us salvation through him. That gives me hope for our world, the fact that we have a choice to follow him and refrain from sin. Another belief from my religion that influences my worldview is that there is evil in the world. Especially in today's times, it is easy to see how the world is becoming filled with more and more evil. I think God allows evil in the world to keep humanity in check to some point. In other words, God has the need to test his followers. Those tests most often come in the form of different evils. The tests are, in other words, a way to test our self– will. I think this is a huge part of Christianity and in turn my worldview. I feel like showing your self–will is a daily challenge and in it can be tested in many different ways or scenarios. I think that God is able to take evil away but somehow it is necessary to keep in the world. I honestly can't think of a reason for keeping evil in the world but I have to keep faith that God does have a purpose for it. This, ties in to a part of my worldview, in that there is a purpose for everything. The second influence to my worldview is family. Many people in today's times base their life's purpose on their desires. For me, my life's purpose is based on those around me. • 3. My Thoughts About Worldviews Essay A worldview, in my opinion, is the way you look at the world and how you see God; a worldview is a set of beliefs that directs the way you act. To determine your worldview, you must ask yourself a few questions. Some of these questions include: Who is God? Where did I come from? Why do I exist? What is my purpose in life? Answers in Genesis defines a worldview as "the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world. A worldview is a collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group."[1] To make this definition easier to understand, I'll use an analogy. A worldview is like a pair of glasses. If you get the right prescription, you'll be able to see really clearly. If you get the wrong...show more content... They believe that Allah is god and that Muhammad is his messenger. They do not think Allah is a knowable god and they do not believe in the Trinity. They do not believe in heaven but they believe in a paradise and to go there you must do a certain amount of good deeds. Also, Muslims must complete some tasks, often called pillars. These pillars include: confession, prayer, fasting, almsgiving, pilgrimage, and in some cases, jihad. Like Christians, Muslims have a book of scripture, called the Qur'an, written by Muhammad. Islam philosophy also believes in the supernatural because of Allah. Muslim philosophers, and some Christian philosophers, use the Kalam Cosmological Argument for the existence of God. Although Muslims do believe in miracles, Muhammad never performed any. This created some doubts but they still had faith in Muhammad. Some great Islamic philosophers are Ahmad and Yusif Ali Hammuda Abdalat. Like Christians, Muslims believe in moral absolutes. However, these absolutes come from Muhammad and the Qur'an (or Hadith), rather than Allah, because Muslims believe that Allah cannot be known. To help Muslims follow moral obligations, they follow the Five Pillars. Unlike Christians, Muslims are motivated to do good because of their fear of judgement. Another similarity with Christians and Muslims is the belief that a god created the earth with order, design, and purpose. Sometimes, there can be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Definition Essay : My Worldview Define my worldview. First I will explain what is a worldview. A worldview is known as a framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. Worldview is basic on ideology, philosophy, theology, movement, or religion that provides an overreaching approach to understanding God, the world and man's relations to God and the world. My worldview I'm a Christianity. According to James N Anderson 2014 What's your worldview? "Christianity is the largest religion in the world today, Claiming around one–third of the world population. Christians consider to be not merely a great prophet and spiritual teacher, but the divine Son of God and the savior of the world. I'm a Christian I believe in God. Being a Christian it has cause me to read the Bible more as I have grown older. I have find myself debating, learning and trying to understand the Christian faith. Being a Christian you learn different ways on interpreting the Bible. My worldview is Biblical I believe the Bible is entirely true. I believe it a foundation of everything we say or do. I believe in God I believe if I do my best by God and go to church God will bless me. In Number 6:24–26 "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and peace." • 6. Worldview Reflection Paper My Worldview Reaction Essay Before taking this class, I never knew what a worldview was. But I can see how one's worldview is developed and it helps us to understand how someone perceives the world. Worldview is such an interesting concept because of how unique worldview is, no one has the same worldview, because everyone has different experiences and perceives the world in a different way. I will be explaining my worldview, which will be consisted of seven subcategories that will help me understand my worldview better. The first subcategory of my worldview, I will be discussing is social, economic, and political climate. Social, Economic, and Political Climate I have always lived in the same place my whole life, little town called Oconto Falls. This tiny town of about 2,000 people is located a half an hour north of Green Bay. I was raised in the same small brick house for my entire life outside of Oconto Falls, pretty much I live in the middle of nowhere, all you see are trees and more trees. The climate of my home was we economically are lower middle class, we always had enough money to get us by. My mother owned her own business, while my dad brought in most of the household, income. Growing up and observing the struggles my parents went through facing money made me realize I did not want to face those same problems. • 7. Worldview Essay Worldview Essay Today's society consists of many worldviews. Most people tend to pull beliefs from different religions, but often stick to one main worldview. A worldview to me is the gathering of beliefs that shape what we do on a daily basis and forms our overall view on life. When I look at my beliefs critically, I am able to see my worldview and see how it compares to different worldviews, but also how it compares mainly to the Christian Worldview. My view ofGod is very similar to the non–denomination Christian Worldview. I believe that God is an omnipotent Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that oversees the entire universe. I believe that God created everything in his image, including man. Because He rules over...show more content... If not, they are condemned to hell. The nature of the universe is something that very few worldviews can agree on. Many peoples' worldviews are mainly concerned with materialistic things because there is no supernatural being; it is merely an arrangement of particles. However, I believe that the universe is an illusion (Cosgrove, 2006, p. 30). To me, it is an illusion that is able to leave us to a life and afterlife filled with God. What makes the difference is what a person truly believes in at the end. Whether someone believes in a materialistic universe or the illusion of the universe that leads to a God–filled life decides how he or she lives his or her life. Personally, I believe all that matters in the end is God and my faith in Him. The question of how I know what I know is a question that is one of the most difficult I have encountered. Much of what I know is based on logic and thinking. This is where I may veer off of the Christian Worldview slightly. I believe that God has given humans the ability to reason and think logically, and I use that as much as possible. I think that He intended for us to use our minds to find what we believe to be true, hoping that people would seek God when seeing that He is the only real truth. Cosgrove (2006) makes a great comment on secular humanism and a person's ability to find value, and in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. The Worldview And Its Impact On My Worldview Over the years my worldview has evolved from as a by product of cultural influence, to one steeped in my belief of God. However, until I got married 4 years ago, I had never actively worked on developing my Christian theistic worldview. Brown, Phillips and Stonestreet (2008) described a persons' worldview as the framework that guides our beliefs and viewpoints (p. 21). With this in mind, I have established 3 main tenants of my worldview, God is, the universe was and morality will be. These are the foundations for the way I live, move and express my being in this world. My worldview is informed by way of epistemology. Epistemology suggest the source of all knowledge is God. Knowledge can be acquired through reading and studying the bible....show more content... He is holy, unchanging, all powerful, all knowing, and present everywhere. As stated by Groothuis (2011) "But Christianity, on the contrary, depicted God as a rational, responsive, dependable, and omnipotent being and the universe as his personal creation, thus having a rational, lawful, stable structure, awaiting human comprehension" ( p. 102). All that is in the universe, except for God Himself, is God's creation. Therefore, my Christian worldview begins with the existence of a God who is the personal and creator of everything we survey. Knowing that God is the cause for creation, brings perspective to my life. It establishes the place of a great being that took time, out of time and space to create the world in which I exist. A world meticulously designed to work as one connected string. How can a world be fine–tuned with irreducible complexity, without a designer? My theistic worldview defines God as the uncaused creator, concerned with all of creation. His concerns include bringing man back into relationship with Himself by way of His Son Jesus Christ. Christ is part of the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is the anointed son of God, purposed to restore humanity from its deviation of God' character and nature. Jesus was born of a virgin birth; His Christendom was from the womb and His anointing allowed him to demonstrate power over nature. Through Him, the ultimate result of pain and suffering, which is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Personal Worldview Paper My personal worldview explains the way I view and live life through the assumptions and beliefs I hold in response to the world around me. I believe I was created for a specific reason and purpose. What do I believe to be true? I believe that God exists and that he is the creator of everything that exists. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, John 1:1" (NIV). This is biblical proof that God exists. The verse that explains that God has always existed is, "Revelation 22:13, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" (NIV). God has been alive forever, since before my start and before the start of everything I know. God is the originator of creation itself....show more content... I must find my calling if I am to truly live my life to the fullest and to live out God's plan for my life. God is the only one who can help me find my purpose. He has had a plan for my life long before I was even born and that God has a purpose for me that no one else could fulfill. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11" (NIV). This means that no matter what I do as long as I am in accordance with God's will, everything will turn out for the best in the end. God has promised to give me hope and a future and to bless my life. "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do, Ephesians 2:10" (NIV). With this knowledge I know that God has created me exactly the way I should be and that he has given me talents and skills enough to do all he asks of me to do. I was created in God's image, created with God's character of love, mercy, grace and righteousness. According to AllAboutWorldviews.com, Christians believe "God has revealed Himself to people in a general way through creation and in a special (personal) way evidenced by His divine words and acts contained in the Bible and especially in the person of Jesus Christ" (2002, p.1). In this light, it does not imply to the physical perception and understanding of the world but instead the knowledge of the world from a philosophical perspective. However, this is not limited to the philosophy of the world alone, but it also involves all that encompasses the views that we have on everything in the world as well as those that are considered to be very important to us (Naugle, 2012). This is in the sense that reality is relative and reality is pegged on an individual`s perception of the world and what the world is made of and is all about to him or her. In the same way, ability to give attention to issues in an objective way is an aspect that would help me to understand this article. • 11. My Worldview Our worldview is essentially how we see the world around us, it is influenced by our experiences, how and where we were raised, our religion, the individuals who we surround ourselves with and our culture. My worldview has been affected by growing up in Ontario, being a Christian and being Christian education all my life, and having unique experiences. All of this has affected how I view the world around me and how I view education, curriculum, teachers and students. Based on my results from Education Philosophy Inventory I am a progressivist, because this was my highest score compared to the other philosophies. The progressivist believes that the student's interests, goals and needs are important. They also believe that learners should be active rather than passive. One thing that progressivist believe that I disagree with is that students can make the future better than the past because society is continually changing. I think that people can make a difference in the world, but there will always be sin. It will be just as sinful as it was in the past as it will be in the future. Reconstructionism and existentialism tied for my second highest score. Reconstructionisms have similar beliefs to progressivists as they think that schools should take the lead to reconstruct society. I think that I fell into this category because school are teaching the future workers of society, teacher have a big responsibility. In a way teachers have the power to guide students to be an active Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My family, friends, coworkers, teachers, and even strangers have made impacts on my life that have in one way or another changed how I view society and the world around me. The three main components that help to form my worldview are Ethics, Human Nature, and God, because they molded my thoughts, experiences, education and life decisions. I am hopeful that by understanding human nature I will come to understand the reasoning behind the choices people make. In recent years, God has become a very important part of my life. I am determined to learn more about God and look forward to seeing what he has in store for me and my family. At one time God was not a big part of my life, I did not attend church regularly or feel close to him. I have always believed in God and Jesus Christ as our savior, but did not actively seek a closer relationship with him. I feel that much of that changed when I accepted my current job in a church based preschool program. After taking the position in the preschool, I was then offered a position in the church's nursery on Sunday mornings. I accepted this position also and my son and I started attending Church every Sunday. In the time since, my husband, myself, and our children have all joined the Church, been baptized, and become very active in our Church. I feel that this was God's plan for us all along. I feel that God guides our decisions each and everyday, and I now use prayer to seek his guidance for our lives. In the past seven weeks we have learned about many different worldviews and have examined our own personal beliefs. After learning the many aspects of the different worldviews, I conclude that I hold a Christian worldview. I have a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Personal World View On Everyday Life This paper will discuss my personal world view and how it impacts my everyday life. I will first explain how I was led to my worldview. After reading this paper I hope you better understand my personal world view. My worldview has change several times over my life time and I am proud where the journey has led me. To understand my current world view it helps to look at the path I took to get there. I was raised by a Catholic mother and an Atheist father which led me to an interesting upbringing. My dad used to make me go to church and when I asked him why he said he like the ideals of bible and he wanted me to learn and make the decision for myself. As a child, I believed in God and took on a Christian worldview but I was so young I was unsure what that meant, I was just following along. As I hit my teen years and hit rocky roads I started to question what kind of God would allow such awful things to happen. I started to take on an Atheist world views and flip flopped back and forth through my twenties. I spent years dealing will self–esteem issues and depression, I was unable to cope with even the smallest things and I was getting worse. I sought medical help and medication and became emotionally numb which was almost worse than depression. I started to realize that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

For example, our family values, expectations of education, age, race, and gender roles. The main influences on my worldview are family, age, and educational values. Some people may think of age as just a number, but to me, age also includes a persons maturity level. A person may be thirty years old, but their behavior can resemble that of an eighteen year old. I am twenty years old, but my experiences have molded me to behave in a maner that resembles someone older then my mere twenties . • 15. My Worldview : Overview Of My Worldview My worldview defines how I make decisions and how I filter the events that I encounter in my life. It is a good idea to take stock in what you believe and why you believe it occasionally. My worldview uses Christian principles to understand how I need to act in the world around me. I have had many people that have helped shape my worldview, most especially my parents Mary and Robert, and my maternal grandmother Hazel. I believe that the Bible's depiction of creation is a better fit for what I experience in the world that sciences evolutionary model. As Paul reminds us in Romans 1:20, God created the world and everything in it. When I look around the physical world, I have no doubt that I am seeing what God created. The universe, earth, animals, and man are too perfectly formed not to have been a planned creation. The more I learn about science and how intricate the cells of the bodies work, the more I know that God created all of this. In Genesis 1:1 it says that God spoke and It was. This is the foundation for all meaning. Creation, purpose, design, and life are all created by God and are consistent with science, history, and my own personal experiences. God is absolute and unchanging. God loves good but hates evil. In the Bible, we learn the difference between good and evil. When we study the Bible, we learn very early on that man is sinful, but we can redeem ourselves by being followers of Christ. Today we still struggle with the battle between doing what Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It's the love and relationship that keeps me bounded together with my family. Without a family I am absolutely nothing because they have helped me through hard times and supported me. As being the oldest child of the family I was always appreciated and praised for doing remarkable things in my daily life. In grade 8, I had final exams and during that period of time I was sick with high fever. I was not in a state to prepare for the exams which caused hopelessness and stress, although my parents supported me and encouraged me to write the exam on the bases of the things I have learned the entire year. Their brace made me successful and I got straight A's on the exams. Family status is as important in life as eating food on regular bases. • 17. A worldview is a personal insight about the reality and meaning of life. We all see ourselves through a particular set of beliefs, attitudes, and values. Each persons worldview develops overtime as he or she experiences new events and interacts with the world that surrounds them. A worldview provides the answers to one's origin, purpose, and destiny. Religion has a powerful influence on one's worldview. For the Christian, the filter for which all information is processed is shaped by the truths found in God. The truth of God cannot be ignored as God has revealed himself in many ways. The Scripture is one way that God reveals himself to humankind. The Bible is God's written revelation to humankind. There is a central theme that flows from...show more content... Soon after creation humankind fell into sin. Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Sin is the universal condition of the human race. All people are born with a sinful nature. Sin has many serious consequences for humankind. Sin alienates humankind from God and keeps us from having a relationship with our Creator. Sin provides a sickness that keeps us from becoming the person we should be. People want to live good lives but are forced by sin to fall short. The ultimate consequence of sin can be found in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death." Having an understanding of the extent and effect of sin is key to developing a worldview. I know I cannot escape the confines of sin. It is my nature as a human being to sin. In his divine wisdom, God also knew that his creation could not keep the original covenant of obedience so he would have to set a new covenant with creation. Throughout the Old Testament I can see how humanity is drawn forward from the covenant of creation to the events concerning Jesus Christ. God connects with humankind through covenants which outline the plan of God. The Abrahamic covenant is the first covenant to show God's unconditional love toward humankind. The Mosaic covenant is a conditional covenant that outlines the laws that we must live our lives by. The Messianic Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. My Worldview : My Worldview My worldview begins from with a biblical view. What does it mean to be human? Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (KJV). Because we were made in the image of God, it is in his Word that we will find the answer to what it means to be human. Jesus Christ is the source of our true identity and nature. Romans 8:29 speaks of "being conformed to the image of his Son." Our purpose originally was to love and fellowship with God. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, the sin factor entered the equation and made humanity prone to sin. When Christ came to earth and died for our sins, he created the opportunity to be redeemed from those sins. It is only through his grace that we are able to be reconciled with him. If we drift in life, our human sin nature causes us to drift away from God. Therefore, we must purpose in our hearts and in our actions to live a life free of sin and in relationship with the Almighty. When a person lives a repentant life and in daily relationship with the Almighty, it brings an individual back to his or her original purpose, to love and fellowship with God. This, then, opens the door to the promises and the miraculous of the Word of God. For instance, Matthew 11:28 promises that if you simply come to Christ, he will give you rest. Philippians 4:19 promises that God will meet all of your needs. 1 Peter 2:24 mentions a supernatural healing that can take place because Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My World View Part 1: Define precisely and defend robustly your own worldview. The three components that make up my personal worldview are God, ethics, and spiritual knowledge – because they play a vital role in all my thoughts, experiences, and life decisions. Putting God first in my life is at times quite difficult. For a Christian, it may be the most difficult thing to do. As an indication of faith it's probably designed to be difficult. God has immense knowledge to communicate to each one of us, but He must always be put first in our lives if we are to obtain the knowledge. Since I've learned to view my life from God's endless perception it has become easier to comprehend what will last eternally and what will be demolished. My faith in a loving ...show more content... A higher level of judgment, thought process, and decision–making is expected of law enforcement officers by their superior officers, the department, and the general public. Every police officer will usually have to recite the "Oath of Honor" that reads: On my honor, I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the Constitution and the community I serve. Part 2: Compare your worldview to another one not actually covered by this course in a previous assignment. Demonstrate its superiority. The worldview that I chose to write about is Nihilism. If one has a worldview of Nihilism they believe in nothing. Nihilism comes from the Latin word nihil, which means nothing. The nihilistic worldview all amounts to nothing and that the universe is a closed system. If we have a closed system, right and wrong is subjective, and there is no purpose or goal for us being here, then that means, logically, that there is no such thing as right or wrong or meaning or purpose. Nihilism as a belief structure has gained recognition in recent years as the ineffectiveness of a system in society has gone skewed. We went from having an insufficient amount of morals in our lives, to having lives that are Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There is no way of escaping social settings within our society. Whether it is in large groups or small groups it is always a beneficial standpoint to have. It allows one to look at these situations with more objectivity, rather than always being passive towards the world's effects. This course has shown me that we shouldn't always just rely on word of mouth and assumptions, but rather scientific based research. One can use this research in discovering whether or not what people around them are discussing is factual information or a fallacy.
