with LDOs/CWOs in the designator you are applying for

• CO’s Endorsement - acknowledges your performance and is
unconstrained so provide a well written draft to your CO
• CO can highlight your victories and precept language
• CO can explain and address past negatives, if needed
• Personal Statements - your opportunity to speak directly to
the board
• Explain why this program personally appeals to you
• Should be genuine and heartfelt
• Do NOT provide the definition of an LDO/CWO
14. How?
• Use your own words
• Remember, the majority of the board members
are LDOs and CWOs - they know what you should
have done in terms of training, assignments,
qualifications, and performance for the
designator you are applying for
• The board meets for 2-3 weeks in January and
the results are usually released in early March
• If selected, be prepared to travel to your drill
assignment
