  3. 3. This is where I grew up Here I learned to read, swim, and mind my manners
  4. 4. But I REALLY grew up here
  5. 5. Scott AFB, Illinois I worked for Air Mobility Command and the Communications Squadron. I learned many facets of IT including: Help Desk (then known as Event Management), Enterprise Systems, Configurations Management, Database Server Management, and Situational Awareness
  6. 6. “Doin’ the Deid” During my duty at Scott AFB I was deployed to a peninsula in the Persian Gulf to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Here I managed database servers and network connectivity…then explored Doha. I also discovered I’m not much for tents anymore.
  7. 7. Osan AB, South Korea I got a phone call from my Chief asking if I was interested traveling abroad. I said yes. He said, “Korea okay?” I said yes. During exercises and in-country exploration, I found myself hard at work managing Osan’s huge Metropolitan Area Network…all while eating this:
  8. 8. After a grueling year in Korea the Air Force sent me to the Emerald Coast where I managed mixed environment enclaves. While still enlisted I devised a nonprofit team of volunteer-only, IT Expert program to support military widows technology needs. We still meet on the weekends.
  9. 9. I was noticed by a “Lab Geek” while still at Eglin AFB and therefore still support the military today at the Munitions Directorate Right Now I’ve been afforded the opportunity to manage many, both standalone and connected, enclaves and networks I also continue to work on technical manuals, how-to guides, and security procedures
