  3. 3. The first and obvious thing to do is to determine where the leaking is coming from. With that in hand, you can troubleshoot leaking garbage disposal easily.
  4. 4. Turn on the water and let it flows down the sink drain. After a few seconds, switch on your kitchen garbage disposal. Take a look around the sink area and garbage disposal to determine where the leak occurs.
  5. 5. There are a couple of spots where the leaking can occur.
  6. 6. Garbage disposal leaking around the sink flange:
  7. 7. 1a. Switch power off to disposal. 1b. If the 3 mounting bolts are loosen, this might be the problem. 1c. If so, tighten it and check for any leaking again.
