❖ Mam Marzenie is an NGO aspiring to make the dreams of heavily ill
children come true, helping them and their families leave behind the
worries for a while. The Foundation organizes charity concerts – Magia
Marzeń (The Magic of Dreams) and Wielka Gala Charytatywna (The
Grand Charity Gala)."
❖ As for now, the foundation needs a tool for successful acquisition of
donors (sponsors of the wishes) and initiating contact. They are missing
the history of donor’s actions and a way to repay (small gestures)."
❖ Your challenge: Create a tool supporting the communication between
the Foundation and its Donors, where the Donors could browse the list
of dreams to choose, support and realize (give something or help).

3. 2. Volunteers communication and management
❖ a) Czarna Owca Pana Kota is an NGO working towards ensuring on ongoing care of homeless cats, building
up social education in humanitarian treatment of animals, responding to discrimination of animals and
humans, promoting vegetarian and vegan lifestyle."
❖ Organization relies heavily on the work of volunteers who sign up for particular tasks, depending on their
location."
❖ Your challenge: Create a tool facilitating effective management and communication between the
volunteers declaring activity on particular tasks in various parts of Kraków.!

search for volunteer visitors in specific towns and acquiring a full list of people engaged in particular
projects.

promotion of appropriate, responsible behaviour patterns among
children and adults."
❖ Your challenge: Create an app / service facilitating active education
of children, teaching them methods of bringing help to homeless
animals, pointing the key issues etc.

and educate native inhabitants in new technologies that can be
used to support health care, education, politics and boosting
local economy."
❖ One of the key objectives of The SidLab is to engage the people
living in Cameroon in adapting civil attitude and counteracting
corruption."
❖ Your challenge: Create an app helping its users to share their
experience concerning corruption anonymously in Africa or in
developing countries.

Poland and provides information on all issues relevant to
donating blood. The association manages a complex news
portal, organizes blood collection events, and cooperates with
blood donor clubs all over the country."
❖ The principal goal of the association is to encourage potential
blood donors to donate."
❖ Your challenge: Create a tool encouraging blood donation,
which would animate new donors and also those who used to
donate, but either forgot about it or lack time or incentive.

7. 6. Prompt reaction to blood shortage in the country

provides information on all issues relevant to donating blood. The
association manages a complex news portal, organizes blood collection
events, cooperates with blood donor clubs all over the country."
❖ The association wants to solve problems of blood shortage in different
areas by improving communication between the donation centers and
the donors."
❖ Your challenge: Create tool that alerts blood donors about the blood
shortages in their area. Such information is provided on RCKiK
websites.

8. 7. Fighting the air pollution in Kraków
❖ Krakowski Alarm Smogowy is a social initiative working
towards upgrading the quality of air in Kraków and adjusting it
to norms following from legal regulations, ensuring healthy
living conditions for Kraków's inhabitants."
❖ Krakowski Alarm Smogowy animates local society, informs
about the risks of polluted air inhalation, engages in billboard
campaigns and pollen maps."
❖ Your challenge: Find a way to stop using prohibited materials
in heating (educate society). Solve the smog problem in
Kraków!

9. 8. Managing the cooperative
❖ Wawelska Kooperatywa Spożywcza is a non-formal gathering
engaged in purchasing food directly from local farmers. Consumers
gain healthy, fresh food in a reasonable price fair for the farmers."
❖ Basic function of this cooperative is to organize food purchase
directly from the producers – local farmers and breeders, without
commission. Members of the cooperative can distribute their own
products within the gathering."
❖ Your challenge: Simplify the ordering process. Organize transport,
distributing and packaging. The system could also help in self-
organizing & management (members, tasks).

10. 9. Help in finding new farmers
❖ Wawelska Kooperatywa Spożywcza is a non-formal
gathering engaged in purchasing food directly from local
farmers. Consumers gain healthy, fresh food in a
reasonable price fair for the farmers."
❖ The cooperative is constantly searching for new members,
farmers and caterers."
❖ Your challenge: Think of a way to find new suppliers,
farmers and local producers and help them include their
products in the cooperative's offer.

11. 10. Supporting movement of the blind in the city
❖ Dobra Wola is an organization based in Kraków which
encourages civil attitudes, promotes moral values, raises
cultural awareness of children and adults. The Foundation
works with the disabled, the blind, the deaf and mute."
❖ The blind find it difficult to commute on their own. They are
often unaware of the surrounding events."
❖ Your challenge: Create a mobile app which will inform the
blind about their immediate surroundings, e.g. lists the places
nearby, warns about danger, finds the safe way to the
destination.

12. 11. Supporting mobile communication of the deaf

deaf persons to have mobile conversations, so that they can find
out what the person talking to them has to say without actually
hearing it.

13. 12. Enabling the deaf-mute to call for help

enabling fast tracking of the person calling and taking a
request from a deaf person.

lines
