4. Management Tweets :
• ONGC Mgt Guideline : The decision to buy stake in Indian Oil Corp will leave ONGC with only Rs 2500 crore in its cash reserve . The company
had a cash balance of over Rs 13,200 crore at the beginning of the year . Following a weak response to the proposed divestment in IOC, and also
opposition from the oil ministry on selling stake at depressed valuations, the government has decided to ask state-owned companies ONGC and
OIL India to pick up stake in IOC. This is being done so as to enable the government to raise cash to bridge the fiscal deficit and meet the 4.8%
target for the year.
• Unichem Mgt Guideline : Mgt expects the company to maintain a positive performance for at least two years. Talking about the impact of the
new drug pricing policy, under which the government has put selected drugs under a fixed price regime, Mgt said it could shave 2.5 percent off
the firm's revenues. The impact is expected to be resolved over the next few quarters. New launches would add to the company's growth in the
coming quarters.
• ATFL Mgt Guideline : The company has taken price hike in popcorn due to raw material price rise, which has impacted its sales. Also, ad
spend was less than last year, which has impacted the ACT II sales. From April 2014, the company will start full fledged ad for peanut butter. The
company has incurred Rs 35 crore capex on this plant. The company is waiting for approval from regulator for 2 new products. The capex for FY14
was around Rs 100 crore and uptil now Rs 35 crore has been spent. The large part of Rs 65 crore will be incurred in next 6 months. Unna Facility
which is in Uttar Paradesh and Bangladesh facility work will be over in next 6 – 8 months. The current tax benefit is due to Kashipur plant, which
will be there till 31st March 2015. After that, the company will enjoy tax benefit only for its R&D facility which is in Hyderabad.
• TTK Prestige Mgt Guideline : Mgt said a relaxation in the cap on cooking gas cylinders will be marginally negative for the company as it
negatively impacts sales of the company’s products. On the positive side, Mgt said that the company’s market share has increased across the
board. But the company is not thinking of raising prices because of the increase in market share . The company is not looking to cut down
advertising and marketing spends despite cost pressures .
• Exide Mgt Guideline : The company has lost market of about 600000 batteries compared to corresponding last year. With general elections
slated in the next six months, the power situation is unlikely to deteriorate further, leading to difficulty in revival of volumes in this segment,
which has dropped ~17% YoY . Company plans to re-enter into telecom segment in a large way, with market share of 8% this year to 20% by next
fiscal year by doing some value engineering and value added to the business.
• Infotech Enterprises Mgt Guideline : Company is confident of a stronger H2 and equally strong FY 15 on revenue, operating margins and net
profit. Company indicated that its objective is to keep margins at 20% in the short term, assuming the USD: INR@ 60 and Onsite: Offshore rate is
50:50% . Comapny indicated that there is further room for the tax reduction for the next fiscal.
Kajaria Ceramics Mgt Guideline : Company expects the company to grow about 18-20 percent in FY15. The company's margins too are likley to
improve significantly. Mgt think going forward company see an improvement in margins due to industry is definitely in a positive mood and with
the Gujarat plants reopening, a lot of corrections will be made . The company’s imports is falling in the next fiscal . The imports will be lesser
than 4-5 percent of the company’s turnover.
