The background mimics the traditional 3 dimensional box and sky motifs that characterize many of Magritte’s works, including Les Valeurs Personnelles and The Son of Man, among others.   4. 4. Inspired by the works of Reminiscent of Dalí’s most famous painting, The Persistence of Memory, the melting hair inspiration directly correlates to the clocks. The harsh landscape and barren trees are typical of Dalí’s paintings, including Swans Reflecting Elephants.
