The Amityville 1977 (true story)The conjuring 2013Monster house 2006They’re all set in isolated places where not many people would comeBare trees, broken windowsLocations:So as you can see not much has changed in the horror genre, locations are still the same, they still use isolated and abandoned with broken windows and hidden pasts.

All their eyes look similar, such as they have put in contact lenses to make their colour of their eyes look scary. They have blood and scars on their faces. in the last picture you can also see that she is wearing a wig to make her hair look like a witch with rough red hair. They uses this to threaten the protagonist
Nearly over 30 years facial gestures and body languages in the horror genre hasn’t changed. They still use the same body language and facial gestures, as they used to before.1.12-alien abduction 11.39- grizzly
As you can see here they have used low-key lighting, to create a shadow of the villain to scare the protagonist with its long sharp nails. I could only find one picture but low-key lighting is normally used in most horror films. Low-key lighting is either used to create shadow, mood, or to set the tone of the scene, such as to scare the protagonist.
