1. Quaero is a research and innovation program
addressing automatic processing of multimedia
and multilingual content. The nearly 200 million euros
program, supported by OSEO, gathers 32 French and
German partners around 8 application projects and a
shared research structure.
Invent multimedia for tomorrow, design new Internet search solutions, increase performance
of existing technologies and facilitate the emergence of new uses and services
for professionals and consumers.

2. The scientific excellence:
More than 750 publications among which 60 were published in
scientific journals and books
70 participations in national and international evaluation
campaigns (regularly ranked in the top 3)
More than 30 internal evaluation campaigns every year
16 awards (best publication, young researcher award, thesis prize,
CNRS Crystal Medal, etc.)
75 core technology modules developed and integrated into application
demonstrators (among which several in open source, available on
sourceforge.net)
