5. 5. Food Distribution Methods

The food industry is a global business which distributes the supply of food to the people around the world. Farmers who are able to grow food for sale are considered to be the modern food industry. There are many different aspects to the food industry. They are as follows: regulation, education, research and development, manufacturing, financial services, agriculture, food processing, marketing and whole sale. The regulation part is setting rules for production and sale of food. This includes food quality and safety. The education aspect deals with going out into the world and teaching children about the problems our world is having. Another aspect, research and developing, is where companies use and create technology to harvest more efficiently. Manufacturing is creating foods in factories with chemical enhancement. Financial services are food stamps where the government provides food for people. Agriculture is self-explanatory. This is the aspect of farmers farming food and raising the crops. Food processing is preparing the food for distribution and shipping to consumers. Marketing is promoting different types of food through commercials, advertising. Etc. Wholesale is the selling, transportation, and logistics of the food industry. This is where Costco and other stores are accounted for. This is the main way we distribute food.
