  2. 2. Hey class’.. Another method graphing a linear function is to plot a given point of the function and then identify another point using the given slope of the function.

  4. 4. A.m=2; (3,2) Plot (3,2). The given slope is 2 = = . From the given point(3,2), go 2 units up, and then go 1 unit to the right. These steps give another point (4,4) of the function. Connect the points(3,2) and (4,4). REMEMBER !!! Rise: Positive means UP/ Negative means DOWN Run: Positive means RIGHT/ Negative means LEFT.

  9. 9. Solution: To easily identify the slope of the function, express it in the form y=mx+b. The value of m is the slope. Then find a point of the function. Remember: A.) y=-2x+1. The slope m=-2 If x=0, y=-2(0)+=1. Hence , (0,1) is a point of the function.
