What is a Digital Story ? <ul><li>A 21st century way of telling a story </li></ul><ul><li>Consisting of digital media: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Still & moving graphics and/or </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Sound, narration, music and/or </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Animation, motion, color and/or </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Text with all its formatting attributes </li></ul></ul>
  4. 4. How is a Digital Story Created ? (the 4 P’s) <ul><li>PLAN </li></ul><ul><li>Decide on your story. This is usually dependent on your purpose or intention. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify your audience. </li></ul><ul><li>Decide on method of distribution. (since we are talking about digital storytelling, this one is already decided. You only have to decide on web or server distribution) </li></ul><ul><li>Begin writing your script. </li></ul><ul><li>Use a storyboard to put your script in sequence </li></ul>

(the 4 P’s) <ul><li>PRODUCE </li></ul><ul><li>Decide on digital production tool </li></ul><ul><li>Choose the media (graphics, music, sound, video, text) that best fits your script, purpose/intention, and audience. </li></ul><ul><li>Digitize the media (create narration, graphics; save media in a format that is friendly with digital production tool) </li></ul><ul><li>Create the digital story by putting script & media together </li></ul>
