Self Esteem in Teens

2. Focus on Your Positives
Make a list of your
positive qualities. Are you
honest? Unselfish?
Helpful? Be generous
with yourself and write
down at least 10 positive
qualities. Review this list
often. Start focusing on
your positive traits and
you'll stand a much better
chance of being who you
want to be.
3. Less Comparisons
Try not to compare yourself to
other people. There will always be
some people who have more than
you and some who have less.
Some who are prettier and
smarter and some who aren't.
Low-self esteem stems from the
feeling of being inferior. How
boring it would be if we were all
the same. Take stock of yourself
and treat yourself better than you
would treat your best friend. So,
don’t worry about what your
neighbor is doing. Accept that it’ll
serve you more to just go down
your own path at your own pace
rather than to compare yourself.
5. Set Clear Goals
Regularly writing down
goals can help build self-
esteem. By setting goals
that are clear and
actionable, you have a
clear target of where you
want to be. When you
take action towards that
goal, you’ll build more
confidence and self-
esteem in your abilities
to follow through.
6. Know Yourself
Self-esteem comes
from self-dominion.
The more power you
have in getting
yourself to take the
right actions, the
more self-esteem you
will have. Your level
of self-esteem affects
your happiness and
everything you do.
