JARC – New Freedom <ul><li>JARC (5316) Job-related transportation for low-income individuals in Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Northern Warren Counties (FY2007 = $287,950 available) </li></ul><ul><li>New Freedom (5317) New transportation services, beyond the ADA, for people with disabilities in Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Northern Warren Counties (FY2007 = $181,911 available) </li></ul>

Program Requirements <ul><li>Must be based on priorities identified in locally-developed Public Transit – Human Services Transportation Coordination Plan </li></ul><ul><li>Must be competitively selected </li></ul><ul><li>Require a 20% match for capital projects and a 50% match for operational projects </li></ul><ul><li>Transit agencies, non-profit organizations, governmental authorities, private providers of public transportation can apply </li></ul>

Applications <ul><li>Eight applications were received </li></ul><ul><li>Projects are being evaluated for eligibility and ranked </li></ul><ul><li>MVRPC staff will meet with all applicants to better understand the projects and provide guidance </li></ul><ul><li>Project duration or scope may change as a result of those meetings </li></ul>

Request: $57,000 (Greene CATS) </li></ul><ul><li>Establishment of Route #99 to service the Gateway Homeless Shelter to destinations including the Job Center. Request: $120,000 (GDRTA) </li></ul><ul><li>Job Access Reverse Commute Transit Links Travel Training for low income workers. Request: $22,200 (GDRTA) </li></ul><ul><li>Job Access Reverse Commute support for JobReady Transport Connect – short term shuttle service to identified suburban jobs and transport to Mature Workers program from Greene County to Dayton Urban League training program. Request: $88,060 (Dayton Urban League) </li></ul><ul><li>*minor modifications to specific projects may occur prior to submittal to FTA </li></ul>
  12. 12. Draft New Freedom Project List <ul><li>Weekday community outing transport for people with severe disabilities. Request: $4,710 (Greene CATS) </li></ul><ul><li>Expanded weekend service for people with disabilities. Request: $93,483 (Greene CATS) </li></ul><ul><li>Expanded Fixed Route Travel Training Program for people with disabilities. Requested: $5,000 (Greater Dayton RTA) </li></ul><ul><li>Taxi Voucher Program to provide limited same day service to people with disabilities. Requested: $1,872 (Greater Dayton RTA) </li></ul><ul><li>*minor modifications to specific projects may occur prior to submittal to FTA </li></ul>
