  9. 9. Success Story Opportunity Recognition  Opportunities are external factors, for example developing a distribution channel such as Internet; change in the lifestyle of consumer is possible to increase the demand for company’s products.  Increasing demand for healthier food products. Currently, Hilal Foods tries to introduce more healthy food products in response to the trend.  Acquiring startups specializing in producing well-being products. Many new startups are forming and introducing new products for well-being or revolutionizing the ways those products are made. Startups are cheap and can easily be acquired. Hilal Foods is focusing on providing more well-being products and this is a great opportunity to
  10. 10. Marketing Challenges and Issues  Increasing and improving ROI With more and more advanced analytics tools available, we are being held to a higher standard. It's no longer enough to simply do marketing -- we must be able to measure and understand the value of each of our efforts in terms of leads, customers, and revenue. We need to prove that our return on investment is high enough to warrant that effort, time, and money.  Keeping Up With Marketing Trends and Strategies Our marketing focus has shifted from print media to online media. Why? Because technology has introduced new tools that make our communication with potential customers more efficient and effective.  Generating Awareness We face the challenge of not having a large enough volume of interested prospects, while we don't know which channels we should focus their efforts on for the highest brand awareness.
  11. 11. PEST  Political: Government bureaucrats able to carry out decisions, On the basis resource allocations made, the bureaucracy facilitate or retard the development of the organization that are affecting the industry product and market.  Economic: Economic trends have an impact on business activity (Interest rates, inflation, unemployment levels, energy availability, disposable income, etc) that also impact the company’s products and the market.  Socio cultural: Company’s concern with current or emerging trends in lifestyle, fashions, and other components of culture and there implications these represent the opportunities and threats according to the market an products.  Technological: The existing technologies maturing and technological developments and trends are affecting the industry product.

  13. 13. Hilal Foods Strategies  Hilal Foods Customer Focused Strategy They provide hygienic products to their customers. Consistent Quality Product quality lies at the core of the company, recognized & verified by health and safety measures and international quality standards like HACCP and SAN AH, for quality. If people have any problem they are most welcomed to approach them and they seriously take their suggestions into consideration to serve their consumers and getting their feedback will help them to achieve their goal.
  14. 14. Hilal Foods Strategies  Targeting G Strategy The relevant segments to which “HILAL FOODS” caters, varies from product to product just like any other name in the industry. The Target market would be hard to define, the primary reason being the huge product portfolio having more than 50 products catering to difierent target audience. The brand has gained focus by penetrating into the right segments that is directing their efforts directly at schools where they can best focus on their target audience (Kids), rather than focusing on aggressive marketing channels such as advertising and sales promotion.
  15. 15. Hilal Foods Strategies  Pricing Strategy In pricing, they have to keep in consideration the prices of raw materials and packaging. Raw material cost is getting high, and they charge premium pricing for providing good quality products, so sometimes their prices get high. Most children are in the habit of bringing coins to the shop to purchase sweets and jellies; it is very difficult to increase prices. Pricing strategy deals with all these matters.

  27. 27. SWOT Analysis Strengths:  They have short brand name which a basic strength of Hilal foods. Brand name is thus easy to remember by customers so its demand in market increases. And it is also flourishing in middle and low class segmentation of customers (as the customers in such classes are mostly uneducated) just because of its short brand name and easy memorizing quality. Short brand name also creates word of mouth easily.  It has best attractive packaging of its products so far that is a main strength and attraction of customers towards this brand.  Its availability is much good as compared to other brands in the market.
  28. 28. Weaknesses:  The line of product is very small so it is not financially strong as compared to competitors. It will take some time to become financially strong for which it has to strong its marketing.  Advertisement is weak and now when the brand has earned much credibility its essential for it to make powerful advertisement to make it more strong and reliable as brand has less or near to no TVC recall.  Positioning is the major weak point of the brand. They have to make it strong to further grow in the market.
  29. 29. Opportunities:  The brand has great opportunity to increase its product line as they can achieve maximum customer as they can.  Also it has opportunity to GO GLOBAL. Customers outside Pakistan have more loyal behavior towards Pakistani products so there is a chance for this brand to grow globally.
  30. 30. Threats:  Hilal Foods can’t make a powerful advertisement on their products so it's a great threat for it. Other competitors that are promoting their products through advertisement and other strategies of promotion can gain more repute.  If a pre-established brand of outside the country launches its product here in Pakistan, there would be a great threat for Hilal foods as it is a new brand here.
