Meanings of the difficult words of The Holy Qur`an
(Urdu & English)
Preface
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad laid down the
foundation of the world-wide Ahmadiyya Community in a
small village of Qadian in accordance with the prophecies
of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) which now, by the Grace
of God has spread all over the world. People of all ages,
colour, race and language have entered in its fold and this
process continues unabated. In short pious souls of all the
continents of the world are embracing Ahmadiyyat, or true
Islam.
It occurred to my mind in this universal
back-ground that the book "Meanings of the difficult
words of the Holy Qur`an" written by Maulana Bashir
Ahmad Qamar, a scholar of Ahmadiyya community
should be translated into English, along with its Urdu
version, so that it may become intelligible and useful for
the people who are associated with English & Urdu
languages.
Subsequently, I translated the first para of the Holy
Quran into English and sent the same to Hazoor-a-Anwar
for receiving the blessings. Hazoor-a-Anwar very kindly
and graciously expressed his views in the following
auspicious words.
May God strengthen you to perform this work
in a better way. May God bring good fortune in your
achievements and bring about their successful results.
May God account you in His dears and you always
keep in view His paths of consent. May God make you
successor of every good and bless with felicities of
faith and world. Ameen!
These encouraging words of Hazoor-a-Anwar
created additional tumult in my heart. This blessed work
continued for some period. Finally this work reached its
completion with the prayers of Huzur Anwar.I also took
advantage of the English Quranic version of Maulawi

  16. 16. Preface Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad laid down the foundation of the world-wide Ahmadiyya Community in a small village of Qadian in accordance with the prophecies of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) which now, by the Grace of God has spread all over the world. People of all ages, colour, race and language have entered in its fold and this process continues unabated. In short pious souls of all the continents of the world are embracing Ahmadiyyat, or true Islam. It occurred to my mind in this universal back-ground that the book "Meanings of the difficult words of the Holy Qur`an" written by Maulana Bashir Ahmad Qamar, a scholar of Ahmadiyya community should be translated into English, along with its Urdu version, so that it may become intelligible and useful for the people who are associated with English & Urdu languages. Subsequently, I translated the first para of the Holy Quran into English and sent the same to Hazoor-a-Anwar for receiving the blessings. Hazoor-a-Anwar very kindly and graciously expressed his views in the following auspicious words. May God strengthen you to perform this work in a better way. May God bring good fortune in your achievements and bring about their successful results. May God account you in His dears and you always keep in view His paths of consent. May God make you successor of every good and bless with felicities of faith and world. Ameen! These encouraging words of Hazoor-a-Anwar created additional tumult in my heart. This blessed work continued for some period. Finally this work reached its completion with the prayers of Huzur Anwar.I also took advantage of the English Quranic version of Maulawi xvi
  17. 17. Sher Ali and Malik Ghulam Farid during translation. I would like to mention the co-operation of those who helped me during the translatin of the book. First of all I am grateful to respected Maulana Bashir Ahmad Qamar who instructed and guided me from time to time in accomplishing this task. May allah grant him long and healthfullife! Secondly I am grateful to Karamat Rehman, a man of rare qualities and having the ability of doing every work in an easy and simple manner. He made the stages of translation easy and specially co-operated with me. He worked day and night. He did composing and setting and gave it a fairly good-looks bookish form. May Allah enable him to work with greater zeal and devotion. Thirdly, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Professor Abdul Jalil Sadiq who gave his precious time out of his busy life for proofreading and general guidance. May Allah bless him with long and healthful life! In the end, I extend my thanks to all those persons who assisted me in any form. May Allah give them a befitting reward! 23. 23. Prayers of the recitation during prostrations Prostrations come at some places in the Holy Quran. The listener and reader should bow the body and place the forehead on the ground where prostration comes. If at what basis prostration is done while seeing and understanding the context then there is a spiritual pleasure in it and human being expresses his obedience with sincerity and love by bowing the body and placing the forehead on the ground before his Lord. Various prayers are found in the writings of the books of sayings and the just. If these are not in mind then read prayer's rosary and pray in your own language. Some prayers which are found, a few of them are as under:- ‰ørø‚øæøqûãôoøÖô×$„ôpûìø×øÏøäüæøøÐ$‰øÛûÃøäüæøeø’ø†øåüeôvøçûÖôä´æøÎöç$iôä´! Repeat these words with true sincerity and hearty love then indeed it will affect on the heart. Note:þ " Kh" is written with reference in translation on some places. The object of it is Kaliph. The Roman Numbers I, II, III, VI means First, Second, Third and fourth Kaliph. More than one meanings have been written of a Word on some places, so that every reader may understand according to his capability. xxiii
