Queen of Green is providing a micro- entrepreneur Policy into Practice to empower the
youth to start their own businesses and emerge the green economy in Egypt.
Ambassador Hope developed the Foreign Empowerment Policy for President Obama
and the G20 to shift from an aid to empowerment for the G192 countries.
Egypt invested in educating a generation of youth but failed to grow the entrepreneurial
system to empower the youth after graduation.
Egyptian youth think that if they don’t get a job in the government or private sector then
they are condemned to a life of ‘coffee shops and poverty’….we can help them shift into
the 3rd sector that of self-employment.
The Middle East has 100 million unemployed youth: the region is wasting its natural
resources and the talent and energy of its youth. Ambassador Hope has developed a
Policy and practice which plans ‘top down’ and invests ‘bottom up’.
The Program will start in Cairo, which is home to 22 million people.
It is amazing to think that 10% of the Middle East population live in one City.
Ambassador Hope gave a live interview on Nile TV in Cairo with President Obama in the
White House.
Green roofs will be installed in 6th October City improving the levels of oxygen and
reducing CO2 emissions. A trash-to-waste system will be expanded to give youth the
opportunity to clean the City and make money from the trash. Taxi drivers will receive
‘road rage’ training and a youth-run cooperative will keep the taxis clean to improve the
image for the tourists. Youth task forces will install irrigation and landscape systems.
Youth- micro-entrepreneurs will sell, distribute and install the Queen of Green
technologies.
The unemployed youth will register by mobile phone for a micro-enterprise license and
select a ‘Business in a Box’ that suits their skills and interests. The ‘Business in a Box’
will be delivered with the technologies, products and step-by-step guide. Working capital
will be credited to their mobile bank account and they can receive and make payments
to any mobile phone in the world.
2. Queen of Green FZE will manage the program from UAE and the youth micro-
entrepreneurs can access experienced entrepreneurs by phone or sms to answer real
time questions on how to start and grow their businesses. Cairo University will offer fast-
track courses for unemployed youth to learn the processes and start earning.
Hope said “simplifying the processes and speeding up the youth’s ability to ‘learn, earn
and serve’ is vital to a positive transformation for Egypt. We can put youth to work in
their own businesses, emerge the green economy and create prosperity from the ground
up”.
Queen of Green is a global network of green stakeholders from 29 diverse sectors who
share a common goal of transforming their world.
Ambassador Hope has developed a Social Investment Portfolio of 14 programs to
empower the poor in 70+ countries. She passionately believes in empowering the talent
and skills of the poorest of the poor to become green and sustainable. By integrating the
development process to ensure energy, food, and health security is combined with
education and micro-enterprises for economic security it is possible to mobilize millions
of citizens to be the change they want to see in the world.
