  2. 2. A chicken took a stroll through the deep dark wood.<br />
  3. 3. Some Tiger saw the chicken and the chicken looked good.<br />
  4. 4. "Where are you going to, little brown chicken?<br />
  5. 5. Come and have lunch in our underground house."<br />
  6. 6. "It's terribly kind of you, Tiger, but no –<br />
  7. 7. I'm going to have lunch with some angrellos."<br />
  8. 8. "A angrello? What's a angrello?"<br />
  9. 9. "A angrello! Why, didn't you know?<br />
  10. 10. He has terrible tusks, and terrible claws,<br />
  11. 11. And terrible teeth in his terrible claws."<br />
  12. 12. "Where are you meeting them?"<br />
  13. 13. "Here, by these farm,<br />
  14. 14. And their favourite food is roasted Tiger."<br />
  15. 15. "Roasted Tiger! We're off!"<br />
  16. 16. "Goodbye, little chicken,"<br />
  17. 17. "Silly old Tiger! Don't they know,<br />
  18. 18. There's no such thing as a angrello?"<br />
  19. 19. On went the chicken through the deep dark wood.<br />
  20. 20. Some eagle saw the chicken, and the chicken looked good.<br />
  21. 21. "Where are you going to, little brown chicken?<br />
  22. 22. Come and have tea in our treetop house."<br />
  23. 23. "It's frightfully nice of you, eagle, but no –<br />
  24. 24. I'm going to have tea with some angrellos."<br />
  25. 25. "A angrello? What's a angrello?"<br />
  26. 26. "A angrello! Why, didn't you know?<br />
  27. 27. He has skinny arms, and turned-out feet,<br />
  28. 28. And a poisonous puss at the end of his nose."<br />
  29. 29. "Where are you meeting them?"<br />
  30. 30. "Here, by this stream,<br />
  31. 31. And their favourite food is eagle soup."<br />
  32. 32. "eagle soup? Too-whit! Too-whoo!"<br />
  33. 33. "Goodbye, little chicken,"<br />
  34. 34. "Silly old eagle! Don't they know,<br />
  35. 35. There's no such thing as a angrello?"<br />
  36. 36. On went the chicken through the deep dark wood.<br />
  37. 37. Some crocodiles saw the chicken, and the chicken looked good.<br />
  38. 38. "Where are you going to, little brown chicken?<br />
  39. 39. Come for a feast in our log-pile house."<br />
  40. 40. "It's wonderfully good of you, crocodiles, but no –<br />
  41. 41. I'm having a feast with some angrellos."<br />
  42. 42. "A angrello? What's a angrello?"<br />
  43. 43. "A angrello! Why, didn't you know?<br />
  44. 44. His eyes are red, his pink is black;<br />
  45. 45. He has green horns all over his back."<br />
  46. 46. "Where are you meeting them?"<br />
  47. 47. "Here, by this pond,<br />
  48. 48. And their favourite food is deep fried crocodile."<br />
  49. 49. "deep fried crocodile? It's time I hid!"<br />
  50. 50. "Goodbye, little chicken,"<br />
  51. 51. "Silly old crocodile! Doesn't he know,<br />
  52. 52. There's no such thing as a angrell...<br />
  53. 53. ...OH!"<br />
  54. 54. But who are these creatures with terrible claws<br />
  55. 55. And terrible teeth in their terrible claws?<br />

  58. 58. Their eyes are red, Their teeth are grey;<br />
  59. 59. They have green horns all over their backs.<br />
  60. 60. "Oh help! Oh no!<br />
  61. 61. It's the angrellos!"<br />
  62. 62. "Our favourite food!"<br />
  63. 63. "You'll taste good on a slice of bread!"<br />
  64. 64. "Good?" "Don't call me good!<br />
  65. 65. I'm the scariest creature in this wood.<br />
  66. 66. Just walk behind me and soon you'll see,<br />
  67. 67. Everyone is afraid of me."<br />
  68. 68. "All right!,"<br />
  69. 69. said the angrellos, bursting with laughter.<br />
  70. 70. "You go ahead and we'll follow after."<br />
  71. 71. They walked and walked till the angrellossaid,<br />
  72. 72. "We hear a hiss in the leaves ahead."<br />

  81. 81. "It's the eagle," "Why, eagle, hello!"<br />
  82. 82. The eagle took one look at the angrello.<br />
  83. 83. "Oh dear!" , "Goodbye, little chicken!"<br />
  84. 84. And off they flew to their treetop house.<br />
  85. 85. "You see?" said the chicken. "I told you so."<br />
  86. 86. "Astounding!"<br />
  87. 87. They walked some more till the angrellossaid,<br />
  88. 88. "We can hear feet on the path ahead."<br />
  89. 89. "It's the Tiger," "Why, Tiger, hello!"<br />
  90. 90. The Tiger took one look at the angrellos.<br />
  91. 91. "Oh help!" "Goodbye, little chicken!"<br />
  92. 92. And off they ran to their underground house.<br />
  93. 93. "Well, angrellos,"<br />
  94. 94. "You see?<br />
  95. 95. Everyone is afraid of me!<br />
  96. 96. But now my tummy's beginning to rumble.<br />
  97. 97. My favourite food is – angrellocrumble!"<br />
  98. 98. "angrellocrumble!"<br />
  99. 99. the angrellossaid,<br />
  100. 100. And quick as the wind they turned and fled.<br />
  101. 101. All was quiet in the deep dark wood.<br />
  102. 102. The chicken found a nut and the nut was good.<br />
