 MCB Bank Limited was incorporated by the Adamjee Group on July
9, 1947
 After the partition of the Indo-Pak subcontinent, the bank moved
to Dhaka (then the capital of former East Pakistan) from where it
commenced business in August 1948.
 In 1956, the bank transferred its registered office to Karachi, Where
the head office is presently located.
 the bank inherits a 64 years legacy of trust of its customers and the
citizens of Pakistan
 In the regime of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, government decided to nationalize
the bank so that nation as a whole can benefit from a better use of
resources.
 Consequently, the Muslim Commercial Bank was nationalized under
the Banks (Nationalization) Act, 1974 promulgated on January 1, 1974
 This was the first bank to be privatized in 1991 and the bank was purchased
by a consortium of Pakistani corporate groups led by Nishat Group.
 PMLN government led by Nawaz Sharif passed an ordinance in 1991 to
privatize all the commercial banks.
 In the wake of new amendments, 26% shares of MCB were sold .
 Mian Mohammad Mansha is the Chairman of the MCB and has played
instrumental role in its success.
 MCB Bank Limited is among the top 5
Banks in Pakistan.
 It has net asset base of PKR 1 trillion (USD
9.9 million).
 The Bank was setup in 1947.
 Later it was privatized in 1991.
 The Bank is listed on Pakistan Stock
Exchange (PSX)
 It is also listed on the London Stock
Exchange for its issue of GDRs in 2006.

infection ratio (6.40%) and one of the highest market
capitalization in the equity markets.
 MCB Bank recently won “Best Bank in Pakistan 2015” award
from FinanceAsia under Country AwardsAchievement
category.
 It is also the winner of “Most Stable Bank of theYear 2014” by
CFA 12th ExcellenceAwards.
 In 2013 MCB Bank secured the prestigious awards for “Best
Domestic Bank in Pakistan” and “Best Islamic Deal” byThe
AssetTripleA
 In 2010,The Asian Banker awarded “The Asian Banker Leadership
Achievement Award” and “Strongest Bank in Pakistan”
 In 2008, it was also declared “Best Bank in Asia” by Euro money.
 MCB Bank has been adjudged “The Best Bank in Pakistan” four
times and “The Best Domestic Bank” once, besides being declared
“The Best Domestic Bank in Pakistan” by Asia Money.
 The Bank is compliant with Basel 2 Risk Management Framework
and Anti Money Laundering Policies.
 MCB Bank is actively involved in various CSR activities as well and
constantly strives to contribute towards the country’s betterment.

MCB has a large network of banking system in Pakistan with
more tan 1,130 and 600 ATM machines in all over the Pakistan.
It is the only bank in Pakistan having 405 million database of
trusted customers which any other bank don’t have. It is also
known for the most sound financial institution and lending bank
of Pakistan having a deposit of PKR 462 billion and also the total
assets of 605 billion.

  • 4.  MCB Bank Limited was incorporated by the Adamjee Group on July 9, 1947  After the partition of the Indo-Pak subcontinent, the bank moved to Dhaka (then the capital of former East Pakistan) from where it commenced business in August 1948.  In 1956, the bank transferred its registered office to Karachi, Where the head office is presently located.  the bank inherits a 64 years legacy of trust of its customers and the citizens of Pakistan
