Concept: Promote local awareness of the SoupMobile, a mobile-feeding service aimed at eradicating homelessness, and it’s annual Celebrate Jesus event where 500 homeless men and women are treated to a banquet in their honor and a night’s stay at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Invite media to capture this magical event, send founder David Timothy, a.k.a The SoupMan to local morning shows, radio stations to conduct interviews and promote event. Also requested and received a proclamation from the Mayor’s office who deemed Dec. 24 as “SoupMobile Day.”

 6. 6. What Worked

David Timothy served as an excellent spokesperson flawlessly delivering the SoupMobile’s brand message and overall mission and purpose of the Celebrate Jesus event. His testimonial, candidness, sincerity and connection with the SoupMobile resonated well with the media and the general public.
 7. 7. Executing a media plan that included a strong push for pre coverage to the Celebrate Jesus event created a lot of buzz and traction for media to come out and cover the event day off. Giving media behind the scenes access at the hotel before the event, being able to bring visuals to morning shows and be in-studio for radio interviews also proved worthwhile.
 8. 8. Pitching the Mayor’s office for a proclamation, receiving it, and having the mayor in attendance at the Celebrate Jesus event lent a considerable amount of credibility to the event as the Mayor served as an influencer.

The SoupMobile at Work
10. 10. The SoupMan, Pleased
“m strategies inc. hooked us up with MAJOR news coverage with the printed press, radio and TV. This coverage is souper important. We need to publicize our mission so we can encourage people to donate to the SoupMobile so we can do even more of God's work.”
-- David Timothy, A.K.A. The Soupman
