  2. 2. Open season on the Nore ! • Salmon and sea trout: 17th March to 30th September. • Brown trout: 17th March to 30th September. Did you know ? The river Nore is one of the best fishing spots in Ireland.
  3. 3. Where it flows ! • The River Nore starts in Co. Tipperary and flows to the east through Borris- in-Ossory and then south through Co. Kilkenny. • It passes through close by the towns of Durrow, Ballyragget, Kilkenny, Bennettsbridge and Thomastown to join the River Barrow.
  4. 4. River facts ! • The River Nore is one of the Three Sisters rivers which flow into the sea at Waterford Harbour. • The river is long and mostly flat. • The river is dotted with weirs at most of the villages it passes through.
