Vocabulary <ul><li>People </li></ul><ul><li>Qin Shihuangdi – “the first emperor” ; powerful and cruel ruler of the Qin </li></ul><ul><li>Liu Bang – founder of the Han Dynasty, changing from farmer to emperor; declared himself Han Gaozu </li></ul><ul><li>Han Wudi – “ Martial Emperor of Han”; required people to take civil service exams to hold government positions </li></ul>
