Vital Statistics <ul><li>Born Apirl 15, 1452, in a small town of Vinci, Italy, Died May 2,1519 by King Francis I Summer place </li></ul><ul><li>He was the son of a wealthy Notary </li></ul><ul><li>Had many Half Brothers and sisters </li></ul><ul><li>He was a male </li></ul><ul><li>He had a rivalry with Michelangelo </li></ul>

Personal Event <ul><li>He was born on April, 15, 1452, Italy, in a small </li></ul><ul><li>Tuscan town of Vinci. </li></ul><ul><li>He was the son of a wealthy notary, and his mother was a poor peasant. </li></ul><ul><li>Family moved to Florence Where he got a high </li></ul><ul><li>education. </li></ul><ul><li>Was a high intellectual and a great musician. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1478 he became a master in working by himself. </li></ul><ul><li>He had problem with not finishing paintings </li></ul><ul><li>Offered to work for the duke of Milan </li></ul><ul><li>His art work also contains mysteries where people all </li></ul><ul><li>around are trying to solve it. </li></ul>

Key Historical Event <ul><li>First he began working for the duke of Milan for architect and war machines, and the duke of Romagana, in 1509 </li></ul><ul><li>In charge of modifying forts. </li></ul><ul><li>Began painting many other portraits but the only one that is well known is called, “The Mona Lisa.” </li></ul><ul><li>He liked it a lot because he took it every when ever he traveled. He moved back and forth from Florence to Milan, </li></ul><ul><li>During his final years he moved to Rome where he worked for Pope Leo X. </li></ul><ul><li>Later moved back to France where he served King Francis I and died on May 2, 1519 by the king’s summer place. </li></ul><ul><li>Paintings are religious because he was in the renaissance </li></ul>

Art world <ul><li>Leonardo da Vinci worked on one of his first master piece which called, The Last Supper </li></ul><ul><li>Itwas a refectory of Santa Maria Delle Grazie, of Milan. </li></ul><ul><li>He made a lot of painting based off of biblical figures. </li></ul><ul><li>However he did more than murals, he had architect sketches of bridges, deigns of churches and theaters. </li></ul><ul><li>His art work also involved a lot of math and mostly geometry. </li></ul><ul><li>He had to save the sculpture of David even though they where rivals </li></ul>

Mona Lisa II <ul><li>In the painting, “The Mona Lisa,” it is a figure of a women dressed in a floretine fashion. </li></ul><ul><li>Her painting shows the techniques of soft, heavily shaded pictures. </li></ul><ul><li>Also her expression, where it is both alluring, and aloof. </li></ul><ul><li>The painting is also known or the great mountain Back ground </li></ul>

Last Super II <ul><li>In the painting, “The Last Supper,” it shows Jesus with his twelve apostles eating the night before his crucifixion. </li></ul><ul><li>This painting is miraculous because each person is drawled with detail and preciousness. </li></ul><ul><li>There is a green nature background </li></ul><ul><li>There is nice thick colors </li></ul><ul><li>Each persons expression is very detailed </li></ul>

Madonna Litta II <ul><li>In the painting “Madonna Litta,” it is a image of a young women holding a baby, breast feeding. </li></ul><ul><li>It is a significant painting because it is only one of the few portraits that survived during his life time. </li></ul><ul><li>It shows great details on the coloring and the expressions. </li></ul><ul><li>Also da Vinci did a nice job with the back round and the shading </li></ul>

The Virgin Of The Rocks II <ul><li>Finally in the painting, “The Virgin of the Rocks,” is an image of three angles and a lady sitting in front of two rocks. </li></ul><ul><li>This paintings was one of Da Vinci’s first paintings. </li></ul><ul><li>The background shows a nice nature background even though it they are in a cave </li></ul><ul><li>He also did a nice job of shade inside the cave </li></ul><ul><li>The painting does a good job of showing the person that it is a calm and bright place. </li></ul><ul><li>The expressions of the Angels and the Virgin were great </li></ul>

  16. 17. Conclusion <ul><li>Leonardo was has created one of the most expensive and beautiful paintings of all times. He has also influenced our modern technology. For example he was one of the original creators of the helicopter. It was challenging to research him because he accomplished a lot, but I learned a lot more about him and it was worth it. </li></ul>
