Vital Statistics <ul><li>Paul Cezanne was born in south France in January 19, 1839 </li></ul><ul><li>He lived with his father and he attended Art school when he was 15 in Paris </li></ul><ul><li>He also attended law school for two years </li></ul><ul><li>He died October 22, 1906 in France </li></ul>

Personal Background <ul><li>He attended art school with the novelist and close friend Emile Zola </li></ul><ul><li>His dad wanted him to stay in south France and start a career in law but Cezanne didn’t listen and he went to art school anyways </li></ul><ul><li>He tried to create his own style of painting but it wasn’t popular so he adopted the Impressionist style other famous artists at the </li></ul>

Influence of the art world <ul><li>Along with many other famous Impressionists, Cezanne created a new style of painting </li></ul><ul><li>This was called Impressionism and instead of painting realistically with fine lines they painted the images how they interpreted them </li></ul><ul><li>Impressionists also used splotches of color in their art work </li></ul>
