What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy, which is also called…
● Photobiomodulation
● Photomedicine
● Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)
...refers to light from within the Red Spectrum that causes biological alterations in organisms due to photon
interactions on atoms and molecules.
This means Red Light Therapy makes changes in living things.
What is Red Light Therapy?
By shining red low-light wavelengths into the skin, red light therapy helps naturally jump-start the process of
tissue recovery and other forms of skin rejuvenation by:
● Increasing blood flow.
● Collagen stimulation.
● DNA repair to the skin.
● Reducing the appearance of scars...and so much more!
Red light is considered “low level” because it works at an energy density that’s low compared to other forms
of laser therapies.
And...through the precise control of wavelengths, Red Light Therapy is a whole new method to control cells
and organisms by precise alterations in molecules.1
What is Red Light Therapy?
The Red Light Spectrum occurs within the Visible Red, Far Infrared and Invisible Near Infrared Light.
What is Red Light Therapy?
Amazingly important, red light therapy is a way to stimulate or stop some
biological processes in all kinds of living things since red light therapy
works by acting upon cellular respiration in these living things.
Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions, of which the Krebs’ or Citric
Acid Cycle, is one. And...his happens specifically within the Mitochondria of the
Cell.
Cellular Respiration is like cells breathing in and out, eating, growing, and peeing.
These related processes convert biochemical energy, from the nutrients in your
food and in the oxygen that you breath, into adenosine triphosphate, (ATP). ATP
is what drives all of life: Energy, growth, and repair.
Red Light greatly affects this vital life process.
What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy delivers light from the biologically active
wavelengths of 660 nm and 850 nm.
These two biologically active peaks of red light occur
within the Red and Near Infrared light spectrum.
While red light therapy may get a tiny bit warm,
Red Light, and most especially the NIR, is not hot (thermal).
By contrast, Far Infrared light gets hot. It can even cause burns!
How does Red and Near Infrared Light work?
Nitric Oxide (NO) is an important part of your body’s biochemistry.
But stress, illness, and bad health create an overabundance of nitric oxide that goes where it shouldn't.
When it binds to the Electron Transport Chain (ETC) part of your cell’s mitochondria, which is
the power pack of your cell, the mitochondria stops making ATP.
This is very, very bad. This mitochondria can die. This can lead to cell death.
This is VERY, VERY BAD!
Red Light Therapy fixes this quickly, easily and painlessly.
How does Red and Near Infrared Light work?
You see, the ETC is where a vital molecule of life; Cytochrome C Oxidase (CCO).
CCO needs to bind with oxygen to make energy (ATP). When NO binds instead, it’s like
stuffing a cork in a bottle, and this NO stops all energy production. This stops ATP production here.
And ATP is essential for all life energy.
How does Red and Near Infrared Light work?
Science generally accepts that Red Light
Therapy is triggered by light absorption by the
Cytochrome C Oxidase (CCO) inside the
mitochondria or cell membrane.
Red Light Therapy causes the Nitric Oxide
(NO) to pop off of CCO and ATP production to
resumes.
How does Red and Near Infrared Light work?
Many people find it hard to believe that Red Light Therapy works since most people cannot see or feel
anything happening at the time of treatment.
Red Light Therapy is so gentle, yet the responses it triggers goes far beyond this initial exposure.
There are many cascading effects continue for weeks afterwards.
Is red light therapy effective?
Absolutely!
It’s so effective that NASA has been studying it for over 20 years.2
As a matter-of-fact, the NASA LED was
developed by Prof Harry Whelan at the Space Medicine Laboratory in 1998. For the first time LEDS could be
used effectively at specific, controlled wavelengths. Previously only lasers, which are a High-Level Light
Therapy, could accurately deliver a specific wavelengths into tissues. Lasers are also ablative (cutting), and
expensive, so LEDs were an advancement that has open the door for
This revolutionized the study of photomedicine and started the study of Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT).
Over 30 countries are currently publishing scholarly research on Photobiomodulation or Red Light Therapy.
The US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, England, Germany, and Russia just to name a few.
Is red light therapy effective?
Yes!
It’s so effective that in areas of Medicine, health, athletic performance, and beauty there are literally
hundreds of new peer-reviewed research published weekly.
Who’s using Red Light Therapy?
● Harvard Medical School.
● Harvard - MIT Division of Health and Science Technology.
● Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
● The US Olympic Team.
● The NFL, NHL, and the Phoenix Suns.
● Thousands of Plastic Surgery, MedSpas, Skin Care Centers, and Gyms...all use Red Light Therapy.

Red Light Therapy Guide: Benefits, How it Works and More

  • 1. What is Red Light Therapy? mrProductReviews.com
  • 2. What is Red Light Therapy? Red Light Therapy, which is also called… ● Photobiomodulation ● Photomedicine ● Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) ...refers to light from within the Red Spectrum that causes biological alterations in organisms due to photon interactions on atoms and molecules. This means Red Light Therapy makes changes in living things.
  • 3. What is Red Light Therapy? By shining red low-light wavelengths into the skin, red light therapy helps naturally jump-start the process of tissue recovery and other forms of skin rejuvenation by: ● Increasing blood flow. ● Collagen stimulation. ● DNA repair to the skin. ● Reducing the appearance of scars...and so much more! Red light is considered “low level” because it works at an energy density that’s low compared to other forms of laser therapies. And...through the precise control of wavelengths, Red Light Therapy is a whole new method to control cells and organisms by precise alterations in molecules.1
  • 4. What is Red Light Therapy? The Red Light Spectrum occurs within the Visible Red, Far Infrared and Invisible Near Infrared Light.
  • 5. What is Red Light Therapy? Amazingly important, red light therapy is a way to stimulate or stop some biological processes in all kinds of living things since red light therapy works by acting upon cellular respiration in these living things. Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions, of which the Krebs’ or Citric Acid Cycle, is one. And...his happens specifically within the Mitochondria of the Cell. Cellular Respiration is like cells breathing in and out, eating, growing, and peeing. These related processes convert biochemical energy, from the nutrients in your food and in the oxygen that you breath, into adenosine triphosphate, (ATP). ATP is what drives all of life: Energy, growth, and repair. Red Light greatly affects this vital life process.
  • 6. What is Red Light Therapy? Red Light Therapy delivers light from the biologically active wavelengths of 660 nm and 850 nm. These two biologically active peaks of red light occur within the Red and Near Infrared light spectrum. While red light therapy may get a tiny bit warm, Red Light, and most especially the NIR, is not hot (thermal). By contrast, Far Infrared light gets hot. It can even cause burns!
  • 7. How does Red and Near Infrared Light work? Nitric Oxide (NO) is an important part of your body’s biochemistry. But stress, illness, and bad health create an overabundance of nitric oxide that goes where it shouldn't. When it binds to the Electron Transport Chain (ETC) part of your cell’s mitochondria, which is the power pack of your cell, the mitochondria stops making ATP. This is very, very bad. This mitochondria can die. This can lead to cell death. This is VERY, VERY BAD! Red Light Therapy fixes this quickly, easily and painlessly.
  • 8. How does Red and Near Infrared Light work? You see, the ETC is where a vital molecule of life; Cytochrome C Oxidase (CCO). CCO needs to bind with oxygen to make energy (ATP). When NO binds instead, it’s like stuffing a cork in a bottle, and this NO stops all energy production. This stops ATP production here. And ATP is essential for all life energy.
  • 9. How does Red and Near Infrared Light work? Science generally accepts that Red Light Therapy is triggered by light absorption by the Cytochrome C Oxidase (CCO) inside the mitochondria or cell membrane. Red Light Therapy causes the Nitric Oxide (NO) to pop off of CCO and ATP production to resumes.
  • 10. How does Red and Near Infrared Light work? Many people find it hard to believe that Red Light Therapy works since most people cannot see or feel anything happening at the time of treatment. Red Light Therapy is so gentle, yet the responses it triggers goes far beyond this initial exposure. There are many cascading effects continue for weeks afterwards.
  • 11. Is red light therapy effective? Absolutely! It’s so effective that NASA has been studying it for over 20 years.2 As a matter-of-fact, the NASA LED was developed by Prof Harry Whelan at the Space Medicine Laboratory in 1998. For the first time LEDS could be used effectively at specific, controlled wavelengths. Previously only lasers, which are a High-Level Light Therapy, could accurately deliver a specific wavelengths into tissues. Lasers are also ablative (cutting), and expensive, so LEDs were an advancement that has open the door for This revolutionized the study of photomedicine and started the study of Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT). Over 30 countries are currently publishing scholarly research on Photobiomodulation or Red Light Therapy. The US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, England, Germany, and Russia just to name a few.
  • 12. Is red light therapy effective? Yes! It’s so effective that in areas of Medicine, health, athletic performance, and beauty there are literally hundreds of new peer-reviewed research published weekly. ● And...thousands of Red Light Therapy devices are bought by people just like you!
