BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston on January 17th ,1706. He was the tenth son of soap maker, Josiah Franklin. Josiah married his 2nd wife named Abiah Folger. When Benjamin was 15 his brother started running the newspaper for the town. Then Smallpox spread through the town. As a result, there was a debate about whether you should give someone a vaccine when they are not sick or wait to give them regular medicine when they are sick. James, Ben’s brother, made fun of the religious people so he was immediately thrown in jail. When he was released he started beating Benjamin. Eventually Benjamin ran away. He moved to Philadelphia and married a women named Deborah Read and became a wonderful inventor.
