The London Company <ul><li>King James I (took over after his cousin Queen Elizabeth died) </li></ul><ul><li>King James gave the London Company the right to develop a huge area of North America </li></ul><ul><li>Named area Virginia (After the “Virgin Queen”) </li></ul><ul><li>Virginia was from NY to SC from sea to sea </li></ul><ul><li>King James claimed the entire continent. </li></ul>
