  6. 6. The First Great Awakening *A period in colonial history when people began questioning their religious leaders and looking to preachers for a new kind of faith.

The Great Awakening - Preachers begin traveling throughout the colonies holding revivals - The revivals would draw people from all different religions and economic groups together - These new preachers believed that everyone should be able have an emotional relationship with god, NOT JUST CHURCH LEADERS!
