Applications Mobile DBS reception – <ul><li>Makes use of vehicle antenna for DBS reception. </li></ul><ul><li>Vehicle antenna refers to an antenna system that is mounted on a mobile unit for satellite communications. </li></ul><ul><li>Designed for cars, trains, ships and airplanes. </li></ul>

  8. 9. EMS Airborne Ku band antenna <ul><li>This Airborne Ku-Band high data rate receive antenna system supports real-time satellite data reception and live multi-channel satellite TV reception. Installed on aircraft operated by JetBlue and Frontier Airlines to provide live satellite television to passenger seats, with up to 24 channels of satellite TV programming. </li></ul>

Defense Applications <ul><li>Using Electronic steering and shaping of a beam - beam shape and direction can be digitally controlled by a computer within a matter of tens of milliseconds. </li></ul><ul><li>Such beam agility makes it possible for one phased array radar to act as multiple radars each with its own beam shape and scan pattern! The same radar can be tracking for airborne threats using one beam shape and scan pattern while searching for ground targets using another beam shape and scan pattern. </li></ul>
