  7. Cities Appeal • 64 cities since February in Germany • of which 12 federal state capitals • 21% of the population is represented • Aim to get all state capitals and over 50% of population
  8. Federal State declarations • Can take between one and two years of persistence • Get yourself invited to speak • Need a majority in regional govt, or one party needs to persuade others • Bremen (5.12.2017), Berlin (9.5.2019), Rheinland-Pfalz (22.8.2019)
  9. Friends of the TPNW • MPs from across parties join together • Organise event with ICAN speaker • Cross-party parliamentary action

  11. Find open Doors STRATEGY  Develop strategies for each political party – decide on focus  Listen to arguments of parties that oppose you and develop counter arguments for your supporters  Have a stand at party conferences with the Parliamentary Pledge ready to sign
  12. ‘Follow my leader’ ;) STRATEGY  Look for leading politicians to make speeches supporting the nuclear ban  Use church leaders to speak to Christian democrats
