  2. 2. <ul><li>Facebook is a free access social networking website that is operated and privately own by Facebook, Inc </li></ul><ul><li>Founded in 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg, originally called thefacebook. </li></ul><ul><li>It was only available to schools, universities, organizations, and companies within English speaking countries </li></ul><ul><li>Now its used by anyone over 13 </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Wall – space on profile page to write a message </li></ul><ul><li>Info – personal information page </li></ul><ul><li>Photos - to upload albums, tags pictures and comments </li></ul><ul><li>Video – used to share video </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Terms of use or Terms of Services (TOS) is the rules set out by an online service providers </li></ul><ul><li>The rules required the members or users to follow </li></ul><ul><li>In Facebook those rules set out under Statement of Rights and Responsibility </li></ul><ul><li>Terms of use or Terms of Services (TOS) is the rules set out by an online service providers </li></ul>

  6. 6. <ul><li>The users privacy is important to Facebook </li></ul><ul><li>Privacy policy of Facebook provides important information expose by the Facebook </li></ul><ul><li>The policy also tells users on how the information is being used and collected </li></ul><ul><li>Facebook encourage every user to read privacy policy before making decision on what information they store in their Facebook page </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Photos and videos of users may used by others and Facebook </li></ul><ul><li>When used applications and platforms, the information may be shared with others. </li></ul><ul><li>When you publish information using the “everyone” setting it means everyone can see the information </li></ul><ul><li>User’s feedbacks or suggestion can be used by Facebook without any prior notification to the users </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>It requires real name and email address when signing up </li></ul><ul><li>The users must be over 13 years old </li></ul><ul><li>The users are required to have username and password </li></ul><ul><li>Facebook can remove or recheck the users access if its necessary </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>The users are not allow to post any information that violates other users rights and laws </li></ul><ul><li>inappropriate contents will be removed </li></ul><ul><li>The users are not allow to collect and use any information from others unless prior consent from other users </li></ul><ul><li>No personal identification or financial information are allowed on Facebook </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>Facebook does not guarantee the safety of users </li></ul><ul><li>There is no unauthorized commercial communication such as spams </li></ul><ul><li>Users are not allow to upload viruses </li></ul><ul><li>Users are not allow to disrespect any other users </li></ul>
  11. 11. <ul><li>When access Facebook with mobile phone, text messaging fees applies </li></ul><ul><li>Keep the mobile phone number up to date to ensure the messages sent to the right number </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>Users own all the posted information & content </li></ul><ul><li>By using privacy application settings the users can control how their information shared by Facebook </li></ul>
