The document describes the Electronic Lens (eLens) project conducted by MIT's mobile experience lab. The eLens allows users to access additional information about buildings and locations by scanning tags placed throughout a city using their mobile phones. Students in Manresa, Spain tested the eLens, adding personal content to tourist routes and participating in location-based social networks. The goal was to enhance the pedestrian experience and civic engagement through mobile and location-aware technologies.
