Release of interest based SNS, ‘Pholar’
- ‘Pholar’ is a SNS that allows communication amongst users through hash tags(#)
of pictures and videos with similar interests.
- Pictures and tag galleries posted on Pholar can be shared on other SNS and

Foundation of ‘G Works’ – aiming for collaborative service markets
for global enterprises
- Naver founded a corporate body called ‘G Works’ in order to aim for the
‘collaborative service markets for enterprises’.
- With know-hows achieved from managing collaborative services such as
Naver Mail, calendar, address book, and document tools from B2C markets,
G Works plans to provide mobile services for enterprises that are best fit in a
global market.
- After founding the corporate body of G Works in Japan, Naver announced that it
will continue to search for ways to enhance their business in the global market.

: It refers to applying one story to various genres.
- Webtoons already have verified popularity and thus can easily be applied to
other genres (Games, Movies etc)
- It is easier to visualize webtoons when making them into games because they
already have completed images
- There is a high possibility that webtoon readers would become game users.
- Naver announced a “mobile game support plan” in January of 2015,
designed to increase the profits of webtoon writers, and is releasing mobile games of popular webtoons.
- Naver is offering marketing to its various platforms, such as Naver Main and Naver Webtoon,
through its marketing support service, PPS (Page Profit Share).
- In the first half of the year, Naver plans to release a ‘play webtoon game’ feature that allows
users to download the games of the according webtoons.
