  3. 3. When was it founded?<br />The Franklin Institute was built on February 5, 1824 by Samuel Vaughn Merrick and William H. Keating founded the Franklin institute.<br />The museum began in 1825. It is located now on 222 North 20th Street in Philadelphia, PA. This is not where it was at first.<br />
  4. 4. Traveling Exhibits<br />A new exhibit named Mummies of the World is coming to the Franklin Institute on June 18. <br />LeanardoDaVinci’s Workshophas ended on May 22, 2011.<br />
  5. 5. Kid Science<br />Kid Science is a permanent exhibit and is a Franklin Institute original.<br />It is located on the first floor and teaches many different things about Kid Science.<br />
  6. 6. Changing Earth<br />In the Changing Earth exhibit, we learn that powerful forces shape our air, water and land and will continue to transform our planet.<br />Keep cleaning the Earth<br />so we have a healthy world!<br />
  7. 7. The Giant Heart<br />The Giant Heart is an icon in Philadelphia since it’s opening in 1954.<br />The Giant Heart is a 5,000 square feet exhibit.<br />This is exhibit is big enough for many, many people to walk through. <br />WOW!<br />Inside the Giant Heart!!<br />
  8. 8. Franklin Airshow<br />This aviation exhibit, The Franklin Airshow, re-opened October 18, 2003.<br />It re-opened after a period of renovation.<br />Franklin Airshow introduces the history, majesty, science, and technology of powered flight.<br />
