MMICC 2008 Ambassadors Team

  2. 2. <ul><li>An inter-university case competition </li></ul><ul><li>12 schools from 10 countries </li></ul><ul><li>Considered among the top 3 case comps worldwide </li></ul><ul><li>A completely independent and student-run event </li></ul><ul><li>3 days of social activities + 2 days of competition </li></ul><ul><li>Dates: Tuesday March 25  Saturday March 29 </li></ul>

  4. 4. <ul><li>Ambassadors act as a liaison between one competing team and the Exec Committee </li></ul><ul><li>They become part of the delegation (i.e. « you are with the Washington delegation as their ambassador ») </li></ul><ul><li>They represent McGill (the host institution) </li></ul><ul><li>They are attending MMICC as both organizers and participants </li></ul><ul><li>They’re the coolest people in Bronfman! =) </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Establish contact with your team ahead of the competition to introduce yourself </li></ul><ul><li>Be your team’s guide before and during MMICC (help them with questions they might have about Montreal, the events, what to bring, where to eat, where to shop, what to wear, when to show up at events, etc.) </li></ul><ul><li>Track your team’s arrival and welcome them (for example, you can greet them at the airport) </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Ensure your team travels to and from various locations on time , safely and worry-free </li></ul><ul><li>On Friday March 24, the committee will assign you to «  floor watch  » to monitor the hotel rooms at the Marriott and ensure that teams follow the rules during the 24 hours case period (don’t worry, of course we’ll divide you into shifts!) </li></ul><ul><li>Support the Exec Committee with logistics for the final presentations day (Bronfman 4th floor) </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Contribute for MMICC as photographers </li></ul><ul><li>Promote participation, do your best to exude energy, make everyone have the greatest time of their life! </li></ul><ul><li>Most of all, HAVE FUN ! =) </li></ul>

  9. 9. <ul><li>Full attendance to ALL events: March 25-29 </li></ul><ul><ul><li>+ time devoted to arrival and departure day </li></ul></ul><ul><li>You are required to miss school (the Faculty grants all MMICC organizers with an exemption ) </li></ul><ul><ul><li>It is still your responsibility to plan ahead regarding school work and/or arrange for deadline changes with your prof </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Attendance to 1 introductory session, 1 training session + 1 pre-hype event (dates to be determined) </li></ul>
