2. 2. <ul><li>We can use the word: every/some/no </li></ul><ul><li>together with: one/thing/where to make compound nouns. </li></ul><ul><li>These words mean: </li></ul><ul><li>Everyone = all the people. </li></ul><ul><li>Everything = all the things. </li></ul><ul><li>Everywhere = all the places. </li></ul><ul><li>Someone = a person, but we don’t know who. </li></ul><ul><li>Something = a thing, but we don’t know which. </li></ul><ul><li>Somewhere = a place, but we don’t know where. </li></ul>
3. 3. <ul><li>No one = none of the people. </li></ul><ul><li>Nothing = none of the things. </li></ul><ul><li>Nowhere = none of the places. </li></ul><ul><li>These words are all singular. </li></ul><ul><li>Something ’s wrong. </li></ul><ul><li>No one ’s perfect. </li></ul><ul><li>Nothing was found. </li></ul><ul><li>Everywhere was full. </li></ul><ul><li>Someone has taken my pen. </li></ul>
4. 5. <ul><li>With other nouns and pronouns we use: </li></ul><ul><li>all of / some of / none of + plural or uncontable noun/pronoun. </li></ul><ul><li>All of the CDs are mine. </li></ul><ul><li>Some of the teachers are really nice. </li></ul><ul><li>None of my friends came to my party. </li></ul>
