Reading Response<br />Purpose<br />to express your personal reactions and opinions about what you are reading<br />to make connections with previous reading or your own experiences<br />to show an understanding of what you are reading<br />to show that you can write clearly about literature<br />Avoid<br />re-telling the story – only re-tell the parts of the story that are necessary to support your own ideas<br />
