In 1834 Stephen Austin was thrown in Jail, for no
apparent reason, after going to Mexico to try to solve
the issue without fighting.

The Battle that starts up the Texas Revolution October
2, 1835. The Texans won the battle.
Battle of Conception
Even though the Texans were outnumbered 5 to 1 they beat
off the Mexican army.

The Texans attacked San Antonio and for a while it was
a game of cat and mouse.
Convention of 1836
The Convention of 1836 meets to sign a new constitution and
form a new government
The Day that Texas declares that they are independent from

The Texans are pushed back from San Antonio into the Alamo
The Texans were outnumbered out gunned and survived four 5 days
The lose at the Alamo was a huge rallying cry for the Texans cause
Massacre at Goliad
On March 21st Colonel Ward surrendered with his troops
March 23rd Colonel Fannin and Holzinger surrender with their troops
March 27th All the surrendered Texans were lined up and shot
The End of the War
On April 21st Texans under Sam Houston soundly defeat
General Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto. This victory
secured Texas' Independence.
Texas stayed independent until 1845
Then they became part of the United States
