A more sustainable city using new technologies Smart Cities are cities that use information technology to create an urban space with infrastructures, networks and intelligent platforms with millions of sensors and actors, into which we include active people and their smart-phones. The Smart City converts into a digital platform that allows to maximise economy, society, the environment and the well being of the city and facilitates the change to a more sustainable behavior by all of its agents: users, companies and administration.

The platform provides different channels and communication tools, both for the community and for City Councils. The community can send service requests, suggestions and ask questions via a mobile application, and so turning themselves into the sensors of the city. On the other hand, the City Council utilises a back office application that allows them to manage the requests sent by the comunity, analyse statistics, generate work orders and control its providers’ activity.
