A Purpose Behind Every Problem <ul><li>Problems in life are normal if you are a Christian. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>“ Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.” (1 Peter 4:12) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>God uses problems to draw you closer to him. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>“ The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) </li></ul></ul>

Problems Force us to Depend on God <ul><li>Problems force us to look to God and depend on him instead of ourselves. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Paul said, “ Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.” (2 Corinthians 1:9) </li></ul></ul>

God’s Plan is Good <ul><li>We must respond knowing that God knows what is best for us and has our best interests at heart. </li></ul><ul><li>God told Jeremiah, “   For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ” (Jeremiah 29:11) </li></ul>
