GCSE + A Level Task 3.ppt

  1. Observational work
  2. Over the next two weeks you are going to produce at least one A2 observational board (ideally two) using your chosen photographs to work from. This will pick up marks for ‘A03’. If you link your drawings to Artists you can also pick up marks for ‘A01’ and if you experiment with different medias you can pick up marks for ‘A02’! You need to produce at least 1x A2/A3 drawing + a series of A4/A5 drawings (further drawings to fill the board maybe needed see ‘Extra drawing’ ideas) Monday13th March
  3. With guidance from your teacher decide which media(s) are going to work best for your theme and your style of working. There are some ideas over the next slides to help you decide. You need to show skill and detail in the work you produce!
  4. Continuous Line Drawing Materials Use a combination of B, 2B, 3B and 4B pencils, graphite sticks, biros, fineliners etc… Subject A Single object Look carefully at your object(s)/photo in front of you. With a pencil create a line drawing of it. Do NOT take your pen off the page for the whole drawing!
  5. Two Pencils Materials Use a combination of B, 2B, 3B and 4B pencils, graphite sticks, biros, fineliners etc… Subject A Single object By using two pencils bound together, you will produce a range of dense and sometimes unpredictable marks that will provide you with a surface to adjust, restructure, and work, both with and against. This drawing provides you with the opportunity to start by making marks inside the form, and there by breaking the habit of using line to draw the outer contour edge first.
