What Is an Electronic Diary? <ul><li>It can be used to maintain calendars, schedule meetings and even maintain other users calendars </li></ul>Basically an electronic diary is an electronic version of a paper-based diary The Receptionist will need access to staff members diaries to confirm visitor’s appointments

It Is Used by Businesses To: <ul><ul><li>Check, enter and store information relating to future appointments </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Store names, addresses, e-mail and phone numbers in the address book </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Inform staff of important dates e.g. avoid duplication of appointments </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Provide a valuable tool for members of staff, e.g. a receptionist may keep a central record of visitors appointments </li></ul></ul>
