4. Untuk memproduksi stretch film dibutuhkan reaksi polymer.
Reaksi tersebut membutuhkan :
➢ Resin,
➢ Pigment (for tinted or opaque films used for security),
➢ Tackifier (to provide 'cling' so the film can stick to itself) and
➢ UV resistance (to prevent deterioration of film when
products such as mulch and fertilizer are stored outside.)
Proses tersebut membutuhkan pemanasan dan dikompres
dengan tekanan yang tinggi. Ketika mengalamai proses
pemanasan pada temperature yang tepat maka akan terjadi
produk bahan baku tersebut diatas mengalami peleleha,
lelehan kental panas tersebut akan melalui proses cetakan
berupa roll untuk membentuk lembaran plastik secara
kontinyu.

5. Ada dua cara untuk menghasilkan
stretch film itu yaitu Cast dan Blown.
Masing-masing memiliki keunikan.
Baik proses Cast maupun proses
Blown penekanan pada pada
durability ( artiny tidak mudah robek
ketika di renggangkan/ ditarik, tidak
semudah tipe pembungkus lainya ).

6. Pada Proses ini langkah pertama semua bahan baku
mengalamai proses pelelehan sehingga bisa di himpit
melalui cetakan yang rata. Dari proses tersebut, lelehan
thermoplastic melalui roll yang dingin sehingga film menjadi
solid, sama dengan proses pendinginan plastik.
Proses ini menghasilkan stretch film yang mudah
digunakan sebagai pembungkus dan bila ingin
melepaskannya dari roll juga lebih mudah bila dibandingkan
dari proses film yang ke dua. Proses ini bisa di aplilkasikan
baik pada hand grade maupun machine grade.

7. Proses kedua jenis pembungkus ini adalah melalui
proses blown extrusion. Sama seperti proses cast
extrusion, bahan baku thermoplastic mengalami
proses pelelehan, tetapi setelah itu di tekan/ himpit
melalui cetakan bercela, kemudian seperti ditiup
membentuk baloon yang menjulang ke atas.
Proses blown lebih kompleks itulah mengapa harga
cenderung lebih mahal bila di bandingkan dengan
cast stretch.
Tampilan nya juga tidak bisa clear cenderung opaque
karena pada saat proses cenderung mengkristal.

film is great for a variety of uses. Stretch film between 1-5
inches is commonly referred to as bundling film or banding
