  3. 3. Ro me o and Julie tRomeo and Juliet is a tragedy written early in the careerof William Shakespeare about two young star-crossedlovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feudingfamilies. It was among Shakespeares most popular playsduring his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of hismost frequently performed plays. Today, the titlecharacters are regarded as archetypal young lovers.Romeo and Juliet belongs to a tradition of tragic romancesstretching back to antiquity. Its plot is based on an Italiantale, translated into verse asThe Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet byArthur Brooke in 1562 and retold in prose in Palace ofPleasure by William Painter in 1567. Shakespeareborrowed heavily from both but, to expand the plot, developed supporting characters, particularly Mercutio andParis. Believed to have been written between 1591 and1595, the play was first published in a quarto version in1597. This text was of poor quality, and later editionscorrected it, bringing it more in line with Shakespearesoriginal.
  4. 4. Book review● In the present drama, we often see the phrase "children are innocent", it can be the story is often the last, the childs fate is the most tragic. To the family interests, Romeo and Juliet with a loss, in desperation, the choice of relief. Driven by a love them to death forward, the situation urging them to abandon the family together Romeo and Juliet was doomed to the fate of their repulsion, pain hidden behind the number of helpless ah. Romeo and Juliets story is not just a drama, it must also be a portrayal of real life at that time, too much control over becoming countless helpless, this is love to bring people to unforgettable memories.
  5. 5. Book review● Clearly, Romeo and Juliets love of the Arrow has been folded pieces, spoilers powerful as if the lightning can be split pine and cypress. Do not think that love can be a strong long-term, once it is detrimental to the interests of third parties, then this situation will surely be forced to break up the danger. Regardless of whether they are innocent, no matter how they resist the background of the story had been foreshadowing for their outcome. Their tragic do? Perhaps, because they could not spend the old to learn, but the roots of premature death, perhaps not, because they find a final part of his own the other half
