  1. 1. When you log into the Sparked website, you’ll see two graphics; one for nonprofits and one for volunteers. To sign up and add challenges to Sparked, click on the Learn More button under nonprofits.
  2. 2. There’s a lot of information on the next page, from ideas for challenges to organizations that are successfully using the platform. To start the signup process, click the Sign Up! button.
  3. 3. The sign up process is pretty cool. It’s not just a boring form to fill out, but a walkthrough of how your organization can use Sparked. Click on the blue circle with the arrow to continue.
  4. 4. Look at all of the people who are ready and willing to help you out, and look at all of the different things that they can do! Click on the blue circle with the arrow to continue.
  5. 5. This is the first screen of the sign up “form.” Just click on the your organization’s cause or fill type it into the “other” field, and it shows up in the bottom left under “Your Cause:” Click on the blue circle with the arrow to continue.
  6. 6. After you’ve chosen your cause, you can choose your three biggest needs. Just like choosing your cause, the needs you choose show up in the bottom left under “Your Needs:” after you select them. Click on the blue circle with the arrow to continue.
  7. 7. Nine clicks and no typing, and you find out how many volunteers are available to help your organization out. See? Signing up is easy! Click on the blue circle with the arrow to continue.
  8. 8. And things stay easy. It’s only three steps from start to finish!
  9. 9. That third step is really important, though. Don’t forget to thank your volunteers.
  10. 10. Sparked even helps you to create challenges for volunteers with a three step guide to creating a good challenge.
  11. 11. When you sign up, you get to add five challenges to Sparked’s database. When a challenge is completed, you get to add a new one! Take some time to plan what kind of challenges you want to add, and don’t forget to keep adding more as they get completed!
  12. 12. You’re almost done! Now all you need to do is create that first challenge!
  13. 13. There are templates available for you to use when you create a challenge, but you don’t have to use them. You can create a challenge from scratch if you want to!
  14. 14. There are a relatively small number of challenges on Sparked right now, which means your challenges will have high visibility! Get your challenges up on Sparked, and watch the volunteers roll in!
