Dreamweaver

  1. 1. Create a new folder on your desktop. Name it after you. Example: “Mr Wolf’s Site.
  2. 2. <ul><li>Open Dreamweaver. </li></ul><ul><li>Create new HTML file </li></ul>
  3. 3. Define your site. <ul><li>Under Site >> New site </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Put your site name in. Ex- “Bob’s site” </li></ul><ul><li>Click “next” </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Keep selection at “No” option. </li></ul><ul><li>Click “next” </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Keep the first option clicked. </li></ul><ul><li>Browse for you’re the folder you just created on your desktop. Click “next” </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Select “None” </li></ul><ul><li>Click “next” </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>After that, just click “Done”. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Links <ul><li>Have the text or image you want to link selected. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the toolbar at the bottom and click the folder picture to browse for the page or file you wish to link to. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Links <ul><li>You can also use the bottom toolbar to change font colours, fonts, and other properties. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Background <ul><li>Modify– Page properties. </li></ul>

  13. 13. Tips <ul><li>Use layers to organize your text and images more easily. </li></ul><ul><li>Have links you each page included on every page. (Using a layer to have a navigation bar would be a great idea. </li></ul>
  14. 14. Menu bar example. <ul><li>Have all of your links somewhere each page. Keep that location the same so that your site is easy to navigate. </li></ul>
