2. 2.

Suicide is a very controversial topic in the world today. There isn’t much worse than when someone is in such an unstable condition that they decide to take their own life. Obviously the person feels like that’s their only way out, and they weigh out what will happen to those around them, but nothing they do can make it less hurtful for the family and friends that they leave behind.

 3. 3.

In the novel Twisted , suicide comes up when Tyler feels like it may be the easiest way out. He goes into his father’s room and gets his gun. He puts the barrel in his mouth but decides not to pull the trigger. He also debates several other ways of killing himself like jumping off of his school, and drowning himself. He realizes however that it would only cause further problems for his family and that even though it seems like the easy way out, he knows that it is not the answer.

 4. 4.

Depression can occur in many forms. It can be caused by problems in life, but for some it can be caused by a chemical in-balance in the brain and cannot be cured. Many people may take medication for this form of depression, and for most of them, you would never even know they suffer from it. The medicine fixes the in-balance and they can function normally as they would without the depression. Severe depression when untreated may lead to thoughts of suicide, and sometimes even acting on those thoughts.

 5. 5.

Suicide is a growing problem in America today. More and more people are taking their own lives. Suicide is the sixth leading cause of death in the age group 15-24… Our age group. Many people may know of someone who has taken their own life, or has attempted to. But the problem seems to be, what do you do if you think someone is considering it? Do you smother them with love and affection? Do they want that?
